Most incredible experience - a true must see - Could not recommend this experience more. Took a 3 minute boat ride with a great crew, where we then dove into the water to be greeted straight away with 3 huge manta rays. We stayed in the water for approx. 30 minutes, surrounded by the graceful creatures the entire time. Thank you so much, we will never forget it.

Mesmerizing marine life experience. A must do while in Kona. - The adventure with the Manta Rays was incredible. Action packed from start to end with them literally swooping within inches of you. Our booking experience with Viator was not as good. The tickets purchased showed up with Hawaiian Island and Ocean Tours as “ride along” only tickets (no water access). Neither Viator nor their direct website has this option even available. Frustrating but we got it resolved.

Incredible gentle giants with the best guides - Just got back from an amazing snorkel trip to see the manta rays! There were 6 different rays that came to visit. So incredible!! These gentle giants gave us an experience that is unparalleled. Captain Hollis, Shaelee, and Maddy were the greatest of guides. Corny jokes, great tips, and ultimate safety! They know exactly what is going on all the time and make the experience so easy. Mahalo ladies! This company rocks! ♥️

Safe, fun, beautiful experience with friends - It was so much fun and beautiful to see mackerels and rays swimming near a board. I was afraid to get into night ocean. But the crew were so nice to guide us how to wear wetsuit, hold a board, and get back safely. Thank you all for your help.

Rays were only inches... - Rays were only inches from us. We could see into their eyes. We had eight of them swarming around us.

Trapped, harassed by other tour group leaders, barely saw anything, far better ways to spend your time & money - Started off with guy at white van being unfriendly, uncaring, unhelpful. Handed out wrong size wet suit, gave weak instructions, barked out orders but didn’t assist. Trip itself was crowded and when we got to boat, personnel there were more helpful. That said, we barely saw any manta rays. Forced to go in a circle, hold onto the board rope, put floating tube under legs, and sit still for 30 minutes looking thru water, with goggles. All the while trapped around the board. Cannot go back on board or go anywhere else. Lots of boats and boards with people all around holding surf boards by the rope, but very few manta rays. They moved us, which took some time, and then waited 5 minutes. No manta rays. Only a couple we saw earlier. They then ended the tour at 30 minutes. Waited in line to go back in board. Do not recommend the whole event. Even with another tour company. One of the guides from a different tour was also harassing group, tickling individuals in our group. Instead of assisting his group or even our, spent time harassing individuals in our group. So many better ways to spend your time on the island. This would not be mine. We all felt the same. We would never do this again. Recommend avoiding all these tours and go snorkeling at 2-step or near white sands beach. So much more to see in a natural environment without the limitations and harassment. You’ll see a lot more, you’ll be free to move around, the tour guides from other groups won’t bother you, and you won’t be trapped. SO NOT RECOMMEND THIS OR ANH MANTA RAY TOUR GROUP

Don’t book this through Viator - BUYER BEWARE: the tour operator informed me that they had me down as a ride-along only, despite my confirmation from Viator that stated I purchased a ticket that included getting in the water with the manta rays. Even after showing them the confirmation, the tour wouldn’t let me in the water and Viator won’t give me a refund. Either Viator’s system is wrong or the tour’s is wrong. Either way, I’m out over $100 with no experience. Also, this tour consistently runs behind. I waited almost 1 hour past my tour time only to be told I had the wrong ticket. Ruined my last night in Hawaii.
