Snorkeling

When snorkeling with the Manta Rays you will hold on to a comfortable bar attached to a large surfboard that has 16 bright LED drop lights to attract plankton (Manta Ray Food). This makes it easy to keep our groups safely together as the mantas feed on the plankton underneath us. Your swim guides will keep your board positioned over the manta ray snorkeling area. All snorkel gear is provided.

Hawaii is considered the #1 place in the world to view Mantas. The Manta Rays here in Kailua Kona have become conditioned where to go each night to find an easy meal; feeding on the plankton that is attracted by our underwater lights…which makes locating them easy for us! The Manta Rays wingspan can reach over 20 feet across and weigh upwards of 1,000 pounds. Viewing these creatures is a wonderful experience and one to remember

Book this one!!! Incredible team - Wow!! What an incredible experience! Trevor, Scott, Mitch and Diego were all very knowledgeable, fun and professional. I searched everywhere for a Manta Ray snorkeling tour that allowed non-swimmers/weaker swimmers and found this one. The team was very professional and made sure everyone entered the water safely. I actually learned some basic swimming skills prior to going on this tour, just to ensure I would be comfortable in the water. Definitely would say it was worth all of the effort, the team was incredible and my husband and I saw many Mantas! Thank you for your hard work in keeping everyone safe while maintaining a fun and unique experience!

A “must-do” Activity - One of the best parts of our trip by far! Got to see manta rays inches from our face! Even a shark and a couple of dolphins. Can’t even describe the awe inspiring beauty. Even more importantly, Trevor, Scott, Mitch, Diego were incredible balancing between making sure everyone had a great time while putting our safety as the number one priority. You won’t be disappointed.

Great time with the Rays! - Best thing to do on the big island, if you are adventurous. We saw 9 rays putting on a show with back flips! It was incredible!

A don't miss experience - Great crew, very friendly and accomodating. Their set up and information about the mantas was very nice. DEFINATELY opt fir the wetsuit, you will be cold by the end of the experience and then have the ride back. Couldn't say enough good about the crew and the mantas came right up to you at times. Don't miss this chance to see the mantas, sad to say but their populations are in decline.

"Must Do" Experience - We had several of our friends tell us that Snorkeling with Manta Rays was a "must do" when on the Big Island. We're so glad that we did and we agree... "Must Do". Before we headed out my wife was concerned that she might get too cold in the water (she's ALWAYS cold), but the insulated wet suit that was supplied kept her comfortable. We saw lots of Mantas up close. The crew also took videos which they air dropped to me after we returned to the harbor.

Definitely do the manta snorkel but pick a different tour company. - The experience of swimming with the mantas was awesome, but the tour company wasn't great. Lots of young (near) kids yelling and not acting professional at all. Boat was also super crowded, which made for crowded water. Definitely do the manta snorkel but pick a different tour company.
