Snorkeling

When snorkeling with the Manta Rays you will hold on to a comfortable bar attached to a large raft that has bright LED drop lights to attract plankton (Manta Ray Food). This makes it easy to keep our groups safely together as the mantas feed on the plankton underneath us. Your swim guides will keep your board positioned over the manta ray snorkeling area. All snorkel gear is provided.

Hawaii is considered the #1 place in the world to view Mantas. The Manta Rays here in Kailua Kona have become conditioned where to go each night to find an easy meal; feeding on the plankton that is attracted by our underwater lights…which makes locating them easy for us! The Manta Rays wingspan can reach over 20 feet across and weigh upwards of 1,000 pounds. Viewing these creatures is a wonderful experience and one to remember

Fantastic snorkelers with mantas - Budda is absolutely amazing . A fun story teller. AND he is a manta ray magnet! We saw an amazing number of mantas up close and personal. Absolutely loved it. We will take family on this experience when they come to visit us on the island.

An experience of a lifetime! - This is an experience of a lifetime! We got so lucky to see dolphins playing around where the manta rays are and having lots of manta rays that evening to the point they swam so close on our faces we can see the mouth and gills of the manta rays! The team was super professional very knowledgeable about Manta rays. Highly recommended!

Amazing trip - The manta rays came right up in front of us and did barrel rolls. You are NOT to touch them and I had to adjust away because it seemed they got that close. An AMAZING experience. Travis, Mitch, Diego and Inmae were outstanding. Thanks for sharing the videos.

The Best! - I LOVE this tour group. I know it’s a bit more $ but the boat was spacious and all crew members are so patient and kind. In my opinion, it is worth every dollar. Tamae, thank you so much for helping out my mom who is a weak swimmer. At her age, she can’t believe she got to see the manta ray! It is definitely the highlight of her trip! She can’t stop talking about it. Trevor, Diego, and Mitch, you guys are hilarious. We had wonderful tour. Thank you for the snacks, hot chocolate, and the manta ray footage. Definitely will look you guys up on my next trip 💕

Your on your own - Boat was very bumpy ,not organized and crew seemed like they rather be home then doing this “tour” ..almost fell off hard ladder trying to get out of the water from the ocean back up to boat ..crew seemed more concerned about pool noodle then helping customers safely aboard ..never got our hot chocolate too that was supposed to be included …

Nice mantas but rough surf - We did see manta rays which are without question absolutely beautiful. So that's a plus. However, the trip on the whole was not good. The surf was very rough so swimming to and from the float was difficult, and floating in heavy swells was sketchy. I'm a good swimmer but I was really concerned about some of the other people, including little kids. I'd say at least half the boat got very seasick, including myself. Yes, I know, the tour company does not control the weather or the seas. But I do recommend folks check the surf reports and maybe consider taking some kind of non-drowsy motion sickness pill before going out. Or pick a snorkel site that is more protected, in calmer waters. The boat crew did their best, so I'm not blaming them.
