Well worth a visit - We purchased tickets on the Saturday afternoon and headed straight up. Went through the 4D cinema experience swiftly. Got into a line of people and waited for around 20 minutes when we were told that they wouldn’t be able to operate the lift due to high winds. I fully expected this as it was very windy on the ground so even worse higher up. We were able to come back another day (within 90 days) and as we were only in Blackpool for the weekend hoped we would be able to go on the Sunday. We went straight through and skipped the cinema experience this time and went almost straight into the lift and up to the top. It’s a great experience and lovely to see Blackpool from a different viewpoint. All the staff we spoke to on both days were pleasant and friendly. One person in particular was great and I’m disappointed to not remember his name but he said he was the heritage guide in the tower. Really good experience all round!

A great experience! - We visited the tower at 3pm on Friday in May Half Term. It wasn’t overly busy (we had pre booked) meaning that there was plenty of space for everyone to explore the tower. The 4D cinema was brilliant and really made the experience special too. Of course there was a wait for the lifts, this is to be expected but there were plenty of facts to read to keep you occupied. The lift itself has windows and it was both scary and exciting to see how high we were going. At the top you’re left to your own devices and can take as many photos etc as you like. There are several more levels that you can climb if you can manage the narrowing spiral stairs up and down, there’s even a bar up there! I had heard mixed reviews about the tower experience but I have to say we really enjoyed it and would certainly do it again. The ticket price itself is quite high but as we had a Merlin pass we made the most of it, and bought a pick and mix pass for the other members of the party which was also excellent value. If you are going to Blackpool you simply have to go up the tower!

Thanks but never again - My two nasty friends took me up the tower and I don’t realise how much it was like a glass lighthouse with a glass floor and I had a panic attack. The guy behind the bar whose name was Owen calmed me down and made it much nicer for me. He showed us landmarks from up high and asked another member of staff to make sure i didn’t have to go past the glass floor. If only my friends were as caring as Owen. He told me I could watch the air show or sunset from up here on special night openings but it’s not for me il watch from the ground Never again. Thanks Owen you deserve a medal

Great attraction - Entrance to The Tower Eye is via a lift and delays understandably occur due to many issues. The problem is, nobody can tell you anything, not how long the access will be closed, not why access is closed, nothing. When reopening, it’s clear that they stall…they tell you it’s reopening in 5-10 minutes and 15 minutes later they form a queue. You are then moved to another position for another 10-15 minutes before being walked into the 4D cinema. Upon the conclusion, I to a new queue for 20-30 minutes to wait for the issue to be resolved, nobody saying anything. Once working, into the lift and everything is stunning, definitely worthwhile and great for all ages. The VR made us all feel sick, I would give that a miss.

Mis-Sold Tickets Bad Staff Attitude - We went into the tower on Friday afternoon and bought tickets for the top and also the ballroom . This was at 1.06 pm as shown on our tickets. We were told that the eye may close to winds and to do that 1st which we did. Was lovely , no queues for the cinema or lifts so we were done and back down at 1.55pm (and that included a round of Dino golf) and went to the ballroom. No one on the desk so went in to find the last stragglers coming out and the cafe and bar with the shutters down. The attendant said that ticket sales had closed at 1.15pm as there was a function on and to go to the pay desk and they will sort it out. Went there and explained nicely that we hadn't been able to go in the ballroom , the blonde girl shrugged her shoulders and said we have have a no refund policy. We said we had been mis sold the tickets as there was no way we could have done both. She said she had told us that the ballroom was closing early. NO WAY DID SHE, she is a liar with a serious attitude problem. She snatched the tickets out of my hand and said she would change them for the next day and that's is. We couldn't go the next day so we lost out on the money. The lad woth the dark hair and glasses on with her was very good and apologetic, but she is something else and should not be in retail or customer services. If she had said it was closing why did she bother to see if she had a cancellation for afternoon tea on her system when we asked when we bought the tickets. She would have know at nearly 1.10 there would be none. I wished I had asked her name but it was 1.06pm on 7th June 2024 when the tickets were purchased. If she was my employee she would be gone.

Booked in advanced.. then closed with no proper explanation! Very annoying - Booked the trip months in advance.. only to have it cancelled st short notice.. a proper credible explanation would have been helpful.. but no.. very disappointing!
