Our goal is for you to experience the best two-hour classic sailing trip in the world. We have been working on this experience in Boothbay Harbor for almost 50 years, have a strong local following, and have been featured in national, best-selling publications.
We have the best sailing vessel for exploring Boothbay Harbor. We use an onboard engine to get us to the sailing grounds quickly. The size of our vessel is perfect for exploring all the areas of our rocky harbor to see life along the Maine coast. There are no obstructions on our deck other than the masts, so you always have a full 360-degree view from every seating position.

Awesome Schooner Experience - Fantastic crew and customer service! We especially liked that it was a Schooner and passengers could volunteer to help with the sails, etc. The alcoholic drinks were EXCELLENT and a perfect addition to the cruise. We heard others who had taken the Sunset cruise who were raving. Although we ran into unexpected weather issues, the captain and mate kept it lively with their personalities. Having grown up there, they are experienced and know the area inside and out! We much preferred this to the "larger boat" tour many others were taking that seemed crowded and loud!! If you want the true Bay experience, this is definitely the way to go!

Worth it! - Winds weren’t as strong as we hoped for but it was a very nice day and relaxing trip. The Captain was very experienced and friendly as was his assistant. I got to help raise the sails, which was an extra bonus.

Fun sailing experience - This is a nice activity. We originally booked the sunset cruise but we had to reschedule due to some forecasted bad weather. The office was very accommodating and got us on the next morning's sail. The captain and mate were very nice, friendly, and knowledgeable. They have some history about the area and the boat that is very interesting. They even let you get involved in the activities of raising sails, which my sons really enjoyed. We didn't have much wind on our morning of the excursion but, for us, that didn't take anything away. Remember to bring some cash to tip the crew, they deserve it.

Enjoyable sail - We had a very enjoyable sail on the Schooner Eastwind. The captain and his one woman crew couldn’t have been more friendly and professional. A unique cruise on an ocean going schooner. Nice way to spend an anniversary afternoon.

A must do in Maine! - It was my daughter’s first time sailing and they loved it! It brought up memories of sailing with my dad when I was a kid. We all loved it and will definitely do it again.

Do yourself a favor and explore sailing the Eastwind! - This was the perfect way to end our vacation and to celebrate our wedding anniversary! It was truly wonderful and the crew was amazing!

Great relaxing sail - We wanted to do something on the water in Boothbay but did not want to tie up a half a day. It was perfect. Wonderful weather, great personable crew. We were able to help with the sailing tasks and had a lot of fun.

Fun afternoon 9n the water - We had a wonderful time sailing around the harbor. It was very windy, but the captain and his 1 woman crew made it relaxing and fun. Both were very knowledgeable and personable. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because the seats were very uncomfortable and the trip seemed to be back and forth in one place rather than a wide area. I still highly recommend.
