What wonderful tour! - Ira was an amazing storyteller. I was expecting the usual freedom trail spots, but Ira shared so much more about Boston history, art and architecture. And he gave us great recommendations for where to eat some wonderful meals. Most importantly he kept my two teenagers fully engaged for the 2.5 hours! I highly recommend Ira's tour!

Genuine interaction with an engaged and savvy local yielding a great look at both historical and contemporary Boston - Ira really does his homework, bringing deep thoughtfulness to choosing his route and applying deep research to developing his stories. The walk covered the best of Boston and really took me beyond the surface to have appreciation for the architecture and history, as well as what it's like to live in this city in the present day.

Unique and excellent walking tour - We learned so much about the city in a short amount of time. Ira’s love for his city really shines through as does his enthusiasm for art and architecture. This tour is an excellent introduction to Boston and will inspire all kinds of side quests for the remainder of your stay, so try to book it on the front part of your trip!

Boston History from one of the finest! - Ira’s tour was super informative and REALLY well done. He was very accommodating and we learned the inside stories of Boston. The IPad photos were a great addition! He had fantastic recommendations for restaurants, and other spots to check out while we were in town. 10 out of 10 … You will not be disappointed with this tour!!

Exploring Boston Not Just on the Freedom Trail - This was a fantastic tour of Boston, its history, and its architecture. My teenaged child and I loved the stories and insights we gained particularly about the Boston that lies beyond the Freedom Trail. The insights especially into the Back Bay, Beacon Hill, the Public Garden, and their buildings and residents was fascinating for this former Boston resident and my newbie child alike. Highly recommend for getting a feel for Boston that includes the Revolution but goes way beyond tricorn hats and 1776.

Highly recommend!! - This was the highlight of our Boston trip! Enjoyed the sights, the historical context, and Ira’s relaxed professional style. He’s been doing this as a pro for a long time, so he continually updates and tailors his tour to the needs of his guests.

Fantastic tour with a wonderful guide - I took this tour back in October and I am so happy I did! Ira has a brilliant knowledge of the history of Boston. He had photos to show at certain points of the tour to compare old and new Boston, which was a wonderful idea, he had a great mix of historical and local facts of the area and he covered a lot of ground. He is also a very friendly chatty guy, and gave local recommendations at the end of the tour on where to go. Plus, he provided ear pieces so we could hear him while walking through the busy streets. Highly recommend!

Well informed and thorough tour guide - We took Ira's tour in October, 2019 and it was simply the best. The walk was a great pace and well thought out. We loved the use of the headphones which made straining to hear over the ambient noise unnecessary. And, Ira is a squirrel whisperer! Whenever in Boston again, we'd take another jaunt with Ira!
