Richmond - Then, we will proceed to the historic township of Richmond, which is rich in convict history and showcases magnificent sandstone and colonial buildings. Here, you will have the opportunity to admire Australia’s oldest bridge and Catholic church. Richmond is also home to numerous charming eateries, making it the perfect spot for our lunch break. Additionally, we highly recommend visiting the Drink Tasmania Tasting House, where you can indulge in tastings of the region’s finest wines, whisky, and local produce.

We then move onto the famed Salamanca Market, which is open on Saturdays only. This outstanding marketplace is a display for the finest Tasmanian art, locally sourced fruits and vegetables, skilled street performers, and much more!
We carry on with our trip through the picturesque Coal River Valley wine area. Afterwards, we’ll go to the historic Richmond town, which is steeped in penal history. Here, you can view Australia’s eldest bridge and Catholic church. Richmond is packed with quaint food joints, making it an ideal location for our midday meal.
To wrap up our trip, we’ll stop by the Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary. Get acquainted with the friendly kangaroos and a variety of other remarkable Tasmanian and Australian wildlife.
