Additional Information

One of our most popular tours: Luxemburg is certainly a modern and vibrant city with a rich history and impressive ancient and contemporary architecture. In the old part of Luxembourg, our guide will take you to the cathedral, the Palace of the Grand Duke and the Place d’Armes. In downtown Luxembourg you will enjoy a spectacular view of the Kirchberg district, home to several European institutions. In the valley, you will be able to see a trail of the Casemates, the abbey of Neumünster, the city walls and the picturesque sites along the river Alzette.

After some free time in the city, you will explore the quaint town of Dinant, with its fifteenth century collegial church and its impressive citadel. Dinant’s name originates from the Celtic “Divo Nanto”, which means “Sacred Valley”. This little town is dramatically perched on the narrow banks of the River MeuseI. This is the cradle of the Leffe beer and the birth place of Adolphe Sax, the inventor of the saxophone.

Great trip - Great trip, very long day. 3 hours to Luxembourg with a toilet stop half way, unfortunately wasnt aware you had to pay cash to use the toilet, so be aware of this. Luxembourg was very pretty, had a couple hours here after the walking tour. 1.5 hours to Dinant, had 1hr20 mins here, definitely could have stayed longer, again very pretty place to visit. Guide David and driver Syed, both super friendly and helpful. Will definitely book another tour when next in Brussels.

Put your walking shoes on - Stephen was a great guide and took us all over the city of Luxembourg. Be prepared for lots of walking and stairs and the secret ways to get around the city. The small town of Dinant was beautiful. Never knew the saxophone was created here. Great day!

Luxembourg was lovely but the tour operator was not good ! - The tour gave you an introduction to Luxembourg and a visit the the Belgium town of Dinant The driver was excellent , the guide although knowledgeable was very condescending and couldn’t seem to cope with the volume of passengers on the tour, although he gave out ear phone sets , the batteries were dead and seemed very annoyed when we asked for one that was charged ! The journey to Luxembourg was 3 hours , you are not allowed food or drink on the coach, I can understand food but no water on a 3 hr journey ! You are not allowed to use the toilet on the coach , there is a 10 min toilet break near the border, despite the guide saying they accepted card , they did not and there was no ATM machine to draw money, needless to say a number of female passengers had to wait till they got to Luxembourg ! The tour operator must make all potential passengers aware that there is no toilet available on the tour bus and to ensure that they take small change with them and that they are not allowed to eat or drink on the bus ! I always use vialtor for all trips whenever we travel and they provide an excellent service but they need to audit this operator as they are not doing what they are supposed to do

BK Luxembourg - 8/3/24 Luxembourg and Dinant: The guide was knowledgeable and we enjoyed his presentation. However, it was a running tour rather a walking tour. Unfortunately, he lost several couples in Luxembourg because of the unnecessary rush. I give a credit as he gave his phone number in case. It was not enjoyable and we were upset particularly we finished the tour 1 hour and 20 minutes early and had nothing to do. I thing the guide should understand that the tour may be another day of work for him/her but for the customer it is a once of life time experience that we may never has another chance to visit.

Nice place to visit, it would have been great experience but for the manner in which guide was in hurry to complete . - The guide was inconsiderate and rude, it was raining in Luxembourg while other tour operators waited for the rain to subside this guy took us out of bus to complete the tour.

Terrible guide, not worth the price - The majority of the day is spent on the bus. This isn't the tour/guide's fault but it should be noted before booking. Driver and transportation were both great. Our guide, Jean, was very kind but unfortunately was painfully bad at his job. We've taken hundreds of tours around the world and this was one of the worst.
