Great guide and interesting stops. - Roberto was a terrific guide - very informative. My only complaint was we waited 30 minutes for a couple to show at the pickup point. At what time do you consider the time and frustration of the other travellers? I would think 15 minutes wait time is sufficient unless they are the only guests. Don’t make others wait because someone can’t get organized in time for a tour pickup. If you book a group tour, then you should be considerate of others.

A single day to make a lifelong Memory! - The best tour guide ever!! Insightful, polite and so full of knowledge! For 12 hours not one thing they said wasn’t interesting or funny. Knew everything and got so much knowledge about history, current affairs and modern events and historical events. Excellent driver, guide and overall I can’t recommend this tour enough!! 10/10, 5 stars.

Would go again and again. - Highly recommend. We had a really good time on this trip. We heard lots of history and got to see a good amount of Bulgaria in one day. We had an amazing lunch at Bey house which was one of the best restaurants I've ever been to (out of the 28 countries I've been to) and had delicious Turkish coffee. I highly recommend buying the melon and orange Turkish delights to take home for gifts and some rose hand cream. We listened to music and relaxed on the comfortable bus and had a dream day exploring. Have already recommended to friends visiting. Only downside is that these countries are not the most LGBT friendly with comments which was awkward for us but it was very safe. I will be taking some family to do this trip in the future.

Wonderful tour with Alex - We had a very good tour with our driver-guide, Alex. Informative, patient, polite - and knows how to bring the travelers of the minibus together. Plus - he knows a lot about the Romanian and Bulgarian history. Very much recommended.

Great experience - Great experience with a knowledgeable guide, allowing us to get a glimpse of Bulgaria in just one day. The stops were brief but enough to experience each different stop, although the time spent at each place was impacted by the time we had to wait at the border. Great experience overall !

Great Experience - Great tour, very efficient, got to see some cool places and get a glimpse of Bulgaria in just one day. The guide gave interesting facts about Bulgaria and the various places we visited, and gave goos recommendations of where to go to eat or buy souvenirs at each different stop. Great experience!

Bulgaria Day Trip - We went on this trip a few days ago Alex was our driver and guide for the day. A lovely day trip to Veliko Tarnovo with stops at a monastery and a spot for lunch (the food was amazing) while it rained we definitely made the most of the trip. We ended up back a lot later than planned due to slow driving for road safety but better safe than sorry. We heard that the following day all trips to Bulgaria had been cancelled due to the bad roads. Overall well worth the trip and a good way to tick off another country.

Great opportunity to see another country in one day! - It was a long day, but it was well worth the time and money! Our guide was Alex and he showed up to our meeting point on time. From there to the border was about 1.5 hours. Make sure you bring your passport! After crossing the border we stopped at a currency exchange to get some Bulgarian Leva. But this place did not have good rates, so I suggest you get some leva in cash prior to your tour- in Bucharest, there are places that don’t charge commission. You get much better deal there. Shortly after the border we arrived at the cave monastery. It was impressive. Admission was 4 leva and cash only. You climb somewhat steep stairs so you should wear a comfortable shoes. Hiking/trekking shoes will be even better. After that we went to a town near Veliko Tarnovo and had lunch together. They didn’t take cards, it was cash only. My lunch was 17 leva. Next stop was Tsarevets fortress. It was a bit of a hike to the top, and again I wish I was wearing hiking shoes. The view was great. It was raining all day, but thanks to our guide I had so much fun. Because of the weather, he drove slower to make sure it’s safe on the road, so I think we returned to Bucharest later than we though (close to 9pm) but I’d much rather be safe than unsafe, so I appreciate him for that. Overall it’s a great experience. Highly recommended.
