Highlights
  • Palace of Parliament - Known in the past as the Casa Republicii, then the House of the People, but not for the people, it is the main symbol of the Communist Era, meant to house the ministries, the Communist party offices or apartments of high functionaries. It was built starting 1984 on the safest place in the city, considering the high risk for earthquakes, has twelve storeys, four underground levels including a nuclear bunker.
Along the tour you will pass by the most important rooms in the building, conference halls, balcony with the great view of the main square, main staircases, large hallways and impressive galleries. You will be surprised by the lavishly decorated interiors, all made by local materials (marble, crystal, carpets, curtains, stucco) and by the local craftsmen.

Informative - Informative. Two guides to show and interpret. Proximity is everything. The closer you are to the speaker the more you hear.

A must see in Bucharest - Fabulous. A beautiful building. Well worth a visit. We got there at 9 and bought tickets for the 10 am tour. Had a coffee while we waited. Lucky for us it was closed on the 3 and 4 April.

To do - In high season, it is necessary to book through a sales site because the tickets on site are permanently "sold out". And. Said skip the line but in fact there is no line. There is an appointment with an attendant until the entry point where the Guide picks you up. In short, anything to justify the Award. Otherwise the visit is to be made to measure the excessiveness of the building.

Bucharest Parliament - Huge rooms, most with no furniture. The active parliament chambers were very impressive. We only saw a very little of the entire building.

Very interesting and informative - The tour was very informative. The building is huge and everything is on a grand scale. Our guide was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions.

Incredible Building - The organisation for the tour was excellent. I was a few minutes late and called ahead and was told no problem. Guide was exactly where he said he would be and even dropped a pin on the map to help out. Security was the usual, you have to remember this is in essence their Houses of Parliament and you're about to wander round it. Do not forget your passport or you're not getting in. The tour is about an hour and hardly touches the surface of the building. It's a little disappointing not to see a lot more of the place. You get an idea of size and opulence but visit only a few rooms on one floor. I was hoping for the full history of the Ceaucescu's and the Communist regime but this was only mentioned in passing. It's an amazing building and I thoroughly recommend pre-booking with these guys to guarantee entrance but be prepared to be a little underwhelmed compared with what you see from the outside to what you actually see once you get in. Obviously not the guide's fault by the way.

Worth a visit - Very interesting place to visit........you go to the "reception" rooms, but you learn a lot about the building and how it was completed - worth going.

Helpful skip the line service - This is a service where they buy your ticket for you in advance and make everything easy upfront. They don’t actually provide the tour, but they make it very easy for you to get on the tour. We went in January when there were not so many people so it might not have been necessary, but since I gather it is a circus in the summer I imagine it would be helpful the . In any case, I was happy to pay for the convenience.

Could have been Better - The Location Given WAS TERRIBLE. Even the local taxi driver cud not follow the Directions given A SIMPLE LOCATION SHOULD HAVE BEEN SHARED. That wud have solved the problem. So many people in the group HAD THE SAME PROBLEM of trying to find the place.

Parliament visit - I didn’t buy the tour. Went to the parliament and got the tickets. But unfortunately I think that the tour is not worth the money. You will see only some halls on the first floor and that’s it.
