Additional Information

Buda Castle and Fisherman’s Bastion in Budapest, Hungary, provide a distinct experience to visitors owing to their extensive historical and architectural relevance. As a UNESCO World Heritage site, Buda Castle was the residence of Hungarian monarchs for numerous centuries and currently accommodates a variety of museums, including the Budapest History Museum and the Hungarian National Gallery.

Fisherman’s Bastion, a terrace of neo-Gothic and neo-Romanesque design, overlooks the Danube River and provides awe-inspiring sweeping views of the city. Its name was derived from the fishermen that once safeguarded this part of the city walls. The Bastion’s seven towers symbolize the seven Magyar tribes that established Hungary.

Collectively, these historical sites offer a glance into Hungary’s heritage, from the medieval period to the contemporary era. The locality is also adorned with inviting streets, picturesque cafes, and stores, making it an attractive spot for both tourists and residents.

Must do when in budapest! - I was initially really nervous riding the segway. However, Alex was very patient with me, and by the end of the tour I felt more comfortable riding. Alex too great photos of me, and explained the history behind each stop perfectly.

Budapest Segway - We were a little unlucky with the weather with rain for about 20 minutes. Other than that was great! Good safety instructions, excellent historical details and thoroughly enjoyable! Special shoutout to Eden and Vlad, our guides!
