Highly recommended - Excellent tour with a highly knowledgeable guide. Many sites visited and associated history discussed in detail. Covered a large area of Budapest. Would consider taking again, if I return.

3 great, entertaining and interesting hours with Tiberiu and a little more - highly recommended!! - We met Tiberiu at Heroes' Square and were greeted very nicely with Budapest specialties. Then the tour began: very interesting and informative, much easier thanks to his perfect German. We then worked our way towards the parliament, always hearing new and interesting information and conversations, which also gave us small insights into Hungarian society and everyday life. It was dark by now, but that didn't spoil the whole thing: a very special atmosphere emanated from the illuminated buildings! We then took the bus to Buda Castle. Here we were pretty much alone and had a phenomenal view of the whole illuminated city. Tiberiu knows his way around really well and told us everything we needed to know. We were very happy that he accepted our invitation to a final dinner, we ended up in a very tasty vegan restaurant: a new experience for all of us. All in all, a very successful tour: far too short 3 hours with a very friendly guide in a great city - we would gladly do it again anytime

Hidden Gems for sure! - Claudia was a fantastic guide for our inquisitive group of 4. She has vast knowledge and showed us some cool stuff that we wouldn’t have otherwise seen. Highly recommend!

Great learning experience! - We thoroughly enjoyed our time with Andras. He is knowledgeable, genuine, and very accommodating to our interests. It’s a very comfortable 3 hour walk and learning experience so we feel to much closer to the city of Budapest. This is the kind of experience that makes us want to come back!

Enjoyable Budapest City Tour - István is very accommodating (we were supposed to meet at Hero Square but we got lost. However, István came to where we were), very knowledgeable (re: history of Hungary) and generous (he bought Chimney cake)

Three thumbs up! - We had already been in Budapest for a couple of days so Claudia tailored the visit around what we hadn't yet seen. She was terrific!!

Good experience but guide needs to take control of content - Obviously fact finding, history of Budapest. It was great to have a small group. However, the guide didn’t take control. He kept saying it’s up to us. We’re not the experts though. Sometimes was difficult to understand.

Never again - We booked a tour for May, after reaching out 1 week before we found out our guide was unavailable therefore we had to cancel and incurred a currency fee on our credit card as you can’t rebook for same day and time on Withlocals website. We booked with Dalma who was late as she didn’t know it would be busy on a public holiday. She showed us the main sights that you could probably see in a free walking tour, we didn’t get to see to many hidden gems, didn’t get the included treat or drink although she falsely claimed we got chimney cake. What was included was claims of nameless multinational companies wanting everyone to get diabetes, the 7 powerful families and other things you find in rabbit holes on the internet. We did get to go to a cafe and order drinks and dessert that we paid for and we also had the honour of paying for hers! At the end she sent her business card to me so that if we or our friends wanted any more tours we could bypass with locals and save money! When I reached out with locals they told me after emails were exchanged that I should reach out to Dalma as she said I was mistaken???? I pay them a fee so they deal with problem guides I thought. It’s unfortunate as I had four good experiences with this company
