Additional Information

ON A HOT SUMMER DAY, THIS IS THE IDEAL SPOT TO COOL OFF AS IT’S ALWAYS COOLER IN THE HEIGHTS. This tour provides a pleasant escape from the city’s hustle and bustle, allowing you to enjoy nature and the breathtaking view from the city’s highest point. The Buda hills offer a serene and relaxing environment with fresh air. It’s always a bit cooler in the hills at 527 meters or 1600 feet, making it a great retreat during hot summer days. In winter, while the city may experience rain, the hills often have snow. With transportation and guidance, you can explore the beauty of this area within a National Park. This is a favorite recreational spot among locals and a perfect place for nature lovers, though it’s not well-known to visitors as it’s a bit far from the city but easily accessible by car.

Reminder: This tour lasts for 2.5 hours, including travel time.

Great experience - Our guide Victor was great. He shared a variety of stories about his heritage and numerous points of interest as we drove to our destination. The chair lift was easy and the views were spectacular. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience.

Perfect end to an amazing city break - Absolutely breathtaking views and a beautiful experience. After a few busy days in the hustle and bustle of Budapest this excursion was a tranquil delight. Our guide Victor was a fountain of knowledge and very friendly. Definitely recommend the earlier time when it’s hot as the heat can be quite extreme. It is a bit of a hike for 10 minutes but take it nice and slow because it’s definitely worth the view from the top of the castle.

Great tour - Was due to take this trip at lunchtime but rep called me to change to morning because of heat which was fine - he arranged to pick us up too which was a bonus - really great trip after a short car ride to the chairlifts hopped on so peaceful going up pretty scary tho ha ha short walk after leaving chairlifts up a hill - I see why he wanted to change to morning as it would be extreme in the heat up to the lookout tower interesting facts about it by guide after a few pics and walk around back down on the chairlifts Great experience well worth doing and fantastic friendly guide thanks

The absolute best! - It was my favorite part of the trip even though getting on and off the lift was a little scary. Our guide was warm, informative, patient, and probably my favorite host of all 14 foreign countries I’ve been to thus far. I highly recommend this experience with this guide. I’m sad I cannot remember his name. It is an experience I will never forget. I felt valued, respected, and got way more for my money than I could’ve ever expected.

Amazing experience - Really cool find and a nice relaxing way to get a really good photo of the land below. Staff were really friendly!!! A definite must do in Budapest (and they take your photo on the way up and down for a great memory keepsake). Took us about 20 minutes to get on transport from buda hill x

Rip-off for an average experience - A nice track, actually. The view is quite ok. For people who know mountains and have already ridden chairlifts, but nothing special. The view from the tower is more spectacular. The reason for the poor review is that you can only buy return tickets. This is going to be very expensive for a whole family to just shut down. The staff weren't really good either. Too bad! Better take the children's train. This one is very sweet.
