Highlights
  • Dock #11 Szatta - The national fireworks display begins at 9 p.m. in the heart of Hungary’s capital and lasts for about 30 minutes. These vibrant pyrotechnics are primarily launched from Gellért Hill, but you can also view them from floating river cruises and from the streets adjacent to the riverbank. Thousands of people gather along the Danube throughout the day, soaking in the festive atmosphere and eagerly awaiting the evening show.

We offer a special event on this day: a unique Firework Dinner Cruise. This exclusive dinner cruise, available only once a year, features a delectable 4-course menu and the opportunity to watch the renowned fireworks from a prime location on the river.

  • Danube River - Cruising along the Danube River
  • Margaret Bridge - Following the Chain Bridge, Margaret Bridge is the second permanent stone bridge in Budapest, built just 20 years after its predecessor.
  • Hungarian Parliament Building - Widely regarded as one of the most beautiful government buildings in the world.
  • Gellert Hill - Located at the base of Elisabeth Bridge, Gellért Hill is one of the most popular spots in the capital, offering stunning views.

Additional Information

St. Stephen’s Day is one of the most important national holidays in Hungary. King St. Stephen, who was canonized on August 20, 1083 by Pope Gregory VII, was the first monarch of Hungary. This day became an annual celebration in 1771 with the help of Maria Theresa, who designated it as a national state and church holiday. Since then, Hungarians celebrate on August 20th with day-long festivities, creative programs, and fireworks.

Our boat offers one the best ways to experience this Hungarian holiday. You will spend 4,5 hours on our Catamaran boat, while enjoying a delicious 4-course dinner. Enjoy live entertainment and an excellent view in the city to see the fireworks in the center of the Hungarian capital, all while avoiding the huge crowds. The colorful display is centered around Gellért Hill, but you can see them from a unique spot, directly on the river.

  • Minimum drinking age is 18 years
  • Vegetarian option is available, please advise at time of booking if required
  • Important notice: During the fireworks, river closure will be in place and as such vessels are to be docked at their designated piers. Thus docking before the fireworks will take place at 20:00. Guests are more than welcome to enjoy the sights from the front and rear of our ship and from our downtown pier. After the fireworks the activity will continue but due to the river closure the ship will NOT continue its route.
