Amazing food tour! - The entire experience was a 10!! Ferrance was amazing! It was a perfect way to start our vacation! The food and all the information were great!

Wonderful Hungarian food experience! - Ferenc’s knowledge of Budapest along with his love of Hungarian food was an amazing combination. We went to many local hidden gems that we may not have found otherwise, which helped with the authentic experience. Be prepared to eat ALOT!

An excellent tour and wonderful guide - We booked our experience and were looking forward to the tour, but were blown away by our guide Ferenc. We had an excellent time, with lovely food. Ferenc was happy to tailor the tour so that we wouldn't duplicate foods with items we'd already tried on the tour, ensuring we got to try items that we otherwise wouldn't. His knowledge of the city was great and his style and friendliness second to none. Would happily both recommend this tour, and return to Budapest Urban Walks for another tour if we're back in Budapest again

Fun walking food tour - Our guide was wonderful. He picked us up from our hotel and was nice enough to walk back with us after the tour. He made the tour an enjoyable experience. We recommend the tour.

Norbert is the best. - We wish we had done this tour first. A great intro to Budapest. Norbert was a wonderful host and, obviously, a nice person.

Get stuffed!!! - We arrived in Budapest a couple of days before our river cruise ship would pick us up and so we had some time to book a walking food tour of Budapest. Daniel of Budapest Urban Walks arranged to have Andrew give us a couple hours introducing us to Hungarian wines and foods. Andrew gave an excellent tour and he was clearly knowledgeable about the local food scene. I'm not much of a wine drinker but I did appreciate the wine tasting we had at a local restaurant; we tasted three Hungarian wines (I really like the Tokaj wine). As an additional treat (although time was limited), this particular restaurant had a nice little museum in the basement! We tried the street food "langos" which we saw many folks eating as they were walking about. Finally, we had a sampler lunch at a restaurant which had excellent food; my favorite was this cold fruit soup which was absolutely delicious! By the end of this experience, we were stuffed! So make sure to properly time this tour (keep this in mind if you have already planned for a big lunch or dinner). Overall, I would highly recommend Budapest Urban Walks. Their tour guides are so friendly, caring and helpful. They are quite knowledgeable about their city and its history and they are clearly proud to be part of it!
