Highlights
  • Cementerio de la Recoleta - It is located in the exclusive neighborhood of Recoleta, which owes its name to the fact that the convent of the Recollect monks was located there, to which the neighboring Basilica Nuestra Señora del Pilar also belonged (the cemetery was built in the old monks’ garden). )

It is the most visited in the city, due to its numerous and imposing mausoleums and vaults, belonging to many of the main protagonists of Argentine history, such as that of Eva Perón (Evita), one of the most popular tombs. Likewise, it deserves a visit for its architectural value, since it is a sample of the times when the country was an emerging economic power and the main families of the city competed to build splendid pantheons. Many of the vaults and mausoleums are the work of important architects and are adorned with marble and sculpture; more than 90 vaults have been declared a National Historical Monument.

Excellent tour! - This tour was our first day in Buenos Aires. We had Emiliano as our guide. He was excellent! Emi drove myself and my friend all over Buenos Aires detailing local history and customs. His English was fantastic. Emi was very informative, pleasant and had a fun sense of humor. We asked Emi all sorts of questions which he took the time to answer. We highly recommend this tour! We had a great time and were able to get a general sense of the city layout. At the end of the tour Emi provided a map with locations marked which we saw or were interested in visiting in more detail. We can’t say enough about what a great time we had with Emi on our first day in Buenos Aires!! What an incredible introduction to this beautiful city!!

Best Experience of Buenos Aires - Juan was an excellent guide, very knowledgeable & English speaking, we went everywhere and came away with a wealth of knowledge about Buenos Aires. My favorite was Recoleta Cemetery and the many stories associated with the occupants Inc Eva Peron. We also tried local beer & food in the Mercado. This tour was the highlight of our South American adventure.

Buenos Aires city tour - We had a fantastic tour with Mariano which covered many areas of Buenos Aires. We felt this really helped us to get to know the different areas of the city. Mariano was really informative and gave us some additional suggestions for bars and restaurants which we visited and really enjoyed.

Amazing private tour of Buenos Aires. - We had an amazing private tour of Buenos Aires which was tailored based on our family preferences and the current weather/conditions in Buenos Aires (mosquitoes are everywhere and so I would recommend wearing pants and long sleeves and using a repellent). Fred is the best tour guide we have had during our cruise from Santiago, Chile to Buenos Aires and probably the best we have had over the last five years of family trips. We had a lot of luggage coming off the cruise ship and he was able to make arrangements to store our luggage at a local hotel while we went on our tour. We could tell right away that he is very experienced and is passionate about his tours, his culture, and the city of Buenos Aires. On most of our car tours the guides would just let us out and we would explore the areas but not get any in depth knowledge about what we were seeing. Fred blends a car tour with a walking tour. He provided us with insight about the various neighborhoods that we visited, helped us in the stores and restaurants with our purchases (my daughter has a peanut allergy) and he has connections throughout the city. He also helped us to book transportation to the airport. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone.

Dario was wonderful - Dario was excellent and adaptable. Somehow, our need to be dropped off at EZE wasn't communicated to him, but he accommodated us anyway. He was very personable and helpful.
