Good route, great stories - In ~8 hours, 20 miles, and 3 food stops, we covered Buenos Aires neighborhoods in the north and south in a long, slender loop. I had spent most of my trip in the south, so I was exited to see the differences in architecture (and dog-walking styles!) in other barios. My group was only 3 people + guide Julián and we moved at a gentle pace, stopping frequently to hear stories about the history of the city and country. (I saw one review criticizing the guide for injecting their “politics” into their talks. That’s actually what convinced me to book with this company: I’d like to hear real perspectives from real locals! I was particularly interested in what Julián had to say about the Malvinas and Los Desaparecidos.) Julián was attentive to the group, informative, and friendly. The bikes were in good repair. I would happily book with Biker Street again! If you’re from a cooler climate like I am, you may wish to bring additional water and ask for an extra bathroom stop if you need it. And don’t forget sunglasses! It felt like we were biking into the sun the whole day. 😎

Take the tour! - If you are new to Buenos Aires, and want to leave feeling like you know the city, take this tour! We had the pleasure of doing the full day tour with Gilda. What a fascinating, educational, and very fun way to experience the city. Gilda was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. She provided interesting facts and perspectives on Argentine history, art, culture, and architecture, as well as personal insight and commentary on both the past and present. The bikes were easy to ride and comfortable. The route was well thought out and we felt safe at all times. We rode mostly on bike paths, but there were a few times we were in traffic. It was interesting to ride through such a wide variety of neighborhoods, some of which otherwise might be inaccessible to tourists. We made arrangements for the tour before we arrived in BA, and communication with BA Bike Tours was easy and clear. They also provided helpful information for getting to and from their location. The price of the tour included all of the extras -- mate, empanadas, lunch, cemetery ticket, and bottled water – so we didn’t have to worry about not having enough local currency. Thank you, Gilda and Biker Street, for a fantastic introduction to your beautiful city!

A great tour! - What a special way to explore the city! Pedaling along bike lanes to city sights and lesser well-known spots was a highlight of my first visit to Buenos Aires. Julian was a friendly and knowledgeable guide and I appreciated our relaxed mate break, an unusual empanada spot, and lunch off the tourist path. I would do this tour again. It was a great day!

Wonderful tour - Julian is an exceptional guide. My family and I had a truly safe tour, learned so much about Argentinian culture and history, and saw highlights of Buenos Aires from a local with deep knowledge of the country. We had the best empanada in BsAs, drank Yerba mate, and learned so much about Argentina. Outstanding experience!!!

Awesome way to see the city - We had a wonderful experience with Julin, even though we had to have an hour rain delay and take some detours due to flooding . lol It’s a great way to see the city and we got to experience some local traditional food and drinks (mate) A tour into the Recoleta cemetery was also included . I was first a little skeptical about biking in such a large city, but it’s very biker friendly and the traffic respects the bikers.
