Highlights
  • Plaza de Mayo - The May Square is situated in the Porteño Downtown, within the Monserrat neighborhood, where Buenos Aires was originally founded. Plaza de Mayo stands as the city’s oldest and most significant public square. Its name honors the May 25, 1810 Revolution, when citizens gathered to oust the Viceroy and establish a creole government. Since then, the square has witnessed the country’s most crucial political and social events.
  • Calle Defensa - San Telmo is a historic neighborhood with a bohemian flair, featuring temporary art galleries, night bars, and street murals. Defensa Street, lined with antique shops and lively brasseries, runs through Dorrego Square, attracting many tourists on Sundays for its street market and performances. Lezama Park’s winding paths meander among jacaranda trees. The area boasts exclusive restaurants offering tango shows.
  • La Boca - La Boca is a working-class neighborhood with several attractions along the Riachuelo. Caminito, a narrow alley lined with brightly colored zinc houses, reflects its immigrant roots and is filled with asadores and street artists. The Bombonera, Boca Juniors’ stadium, becomes a hive of activity on match days. The Proa Foundation, a modern art museum, hosts temporary exhibitions and offers views of the old docks.
  • Caminito - Caminito is a culturally and touristically significant museum alley and traditional passage in the La Boca neighborhood of Buenos Aires, Argentina. It gained cultural importance as the inspiration for the famous tango “Caminito” (1926), composed by Juan de Dios Filiberto.
  • Puerto Madero - Puerto Madero is a revitalized neighborhood facing the bay. Its refurbished redbrick buildings house exclusive grills popular with tourists and businesspeople at lunchtime. Modern skyscrapers host multinational companies and luxury apartments. The area’s lakes are encircled by trails, including the Costanera Sur ecological reserve, a favorite among runners and families. The elegant Woman’s Bridge connects the ports.
  • Retiro - Retiro is a diverse neighborhood with tranquil streets. Art galleries and chic coffee shops lead to the iconic and bustling British-style Retiro train station, surrounded by fast food stalls. The Kavanagh building’s art deco tower offers views of Plaza San Martín, a steep park where office workers relax under jacaranda trees and patriotic monuments. Tourists frequent Florida pedestrian street for its leather goods boutiques, souvenir stalls, and tango dancers.
  • Cementerio de la Recoleta - The Recoleta Cemetery is a renowned cemetery in Buenos Aires, located in the distinguished Recoleta neighborhood. It houses the tombs of many notable figures and was inaugurated on November 17, 1822. It is one of the city’s most popular tourist attractions, famous for its numerous and grand mausoleums and vaults adorned with marble and sculptures. Its architectural significance reflects the era when Argentina was an emerging economic power in the late 19th century, and the city’s wealthiest families began building splendid pantheons in the cemetery.

The perfect shuttle/tour for our group! - Our group of 12 was met at the airport by our guide, Rosty. He was an amazing guide and we connected with him right away. He shared his vast knowledge of Argentina history, culture, economy, politics, and local tips while giving us wonderful tour of the beautiful city of Buenos Aires. He adapted the tour on the fly so it would not cover the sights that our cruise tour was going to take us on a day later. Booking our airport shuttle/city tour online, through communications with Gabriela was easy. Thank you Rosty and Gabriela!!
