The city was initially populated by aristocratic families who fled the city to escape the yellow fever epidemic. Among its main attractions we can see its Gothic Cathedral.

The expedition commences in the Northern Zone, taking in the suburban districts of Olivos, Martinez and San Isidro, where the stunning Neo-Gothic Cathedral, an early 20th century National Historic Monument, commands attention. Its exterior has been rehabilitated using stone and brick, maintaining the original moulded adornments. The cathedral features three aisles and a round apse, along with stone and brick walls punctuated by French-made stained glass windows.
In Tigre, embark on a journey across the world’s fifth largest Delta. During the boat ride, you’ll get the opportunity to appreciate the Casa Sarmiento Museum and gain insights into island dwelling.
