  • Ark of Bukhara - The winter residence of the Bukhara emirs, known as the Ark, was considered a “city within a city.”
  • Moschea Bolo-khauz - The mosque with the tallest columns in the city. Also known as Chilustun (40 columns), although it has only 20 columns, the reflection in the reservoir creates a different illusion.
  • Chashmai Ayub Mausoleum - The city’s Water Supply Museum and the mausoleum of “St. Jehovah.”

Fantastic discovery of magical Bukhara if you’re tight on time! - We had a fabulous experience. Our guide (Nilufar) was punctual, full of energy, and such an encyclopedic knowledge of her hometown! Wish we could download her brain and absorb all her knowledge! Her English was absolutely perfect too. She skillfully took us to all the most important spots, recommended the best workshops for crafts and restaurants. Great time & money investment if you’re in town for a short while. Tip: get comfy shoes for the 6!
