Duration: 10 hours
Cancellation: 24 hours
Highlights
  • Washington Pass Overlook - After a scenic drive along the North Cascades Highway, our explorations begin at the Washington Pass Observation Site. A paved trail leads you to various overlooks that feature some of the best views of the Cascade Mountains in Washington State. You will see firsthand why the North Cascades are nicknamed the “American Alps.”
  • Mazama - Welcome to Eastern Washington! After a morning of explorations, we will enjoy a 1 hour lunch stop in the small town of Mazama, which is bustling with PCT hikers, climbers, and outdoor enthusiasts. Picnic lunches are not included, but available for purchase at the Mazama Store, which is a local favorite for grab and go lunches!
  • Rainy Lake - In a region of rugged peaks and steep trails, the fully paved trail to Rainy Lake is one of the most rewarding and accessible experiences within the North Cascades. Our guests will enjoy a 2-hour shuttle stop to fully immerse themselves into nature and experience a self-guided walk to Rainy Lake, which is 2 miles roundtrip (out and back) with a gentle grade of only 70 feet of elevation gain.
  • Diablo Lake Overlook - One of the most scenic lakes and picturesque viewpoints in Washington State awaits at the Diablo Lake Vista Point. As a glacially-fed lake, the vibrant turquoise blue waters are unforgettable, especially with the towering mountains that surround lake. Our Naturalist Guide will overview the natural history of the Skagit River Valley, the Cascade Mountains, and the history of the Diablo Dam as you navigate through the various viewing areas.
  • North Cascades National Park - Our guests will have approximately 4 hours of sightseeing time and 6 hours of drive time, primarily within North Cascades National Park.
