Additional Information

This tasting event is distinguished by its visit to two vineyards with contrasting traits, both in terms of farm size and wine production styles.

One is a château that enjoys the status of a protected origin (AOP), with the transformation and production process carried out on site. It follows a traditional method of fermentation using oak barrels, and its average product is commonly sold in the Provence Alpes Côte d’Azur region.

The other, in contrast, is a more modest and family-operated vineyard but also performs transformation and production on its premises with a unique method of fermentation in a glass amphora kept in the sunlight for many months.

In between these two tastings, you will also have a delightful lunch opportunity in one of the numerous restaurants in Saint-Paul-de-Vence, one of France’s most frequented villages.

A perfect day in Provence - Alexis was a wonderful guide. Despite certain locations being closed due to a.) European holiday season (August) and b.) a Sunday booking, he quickly found alternatives that were better than the initial itinerary. From ancient towns in Provence to a special cellar tasting in Nice, Alexis covered a wide expanse of the riviera, complete with fascinating historical anecdotes and charming service
