Great Day 1 tour when visiting Egypt! - We had a great visit to Old Cairo and the NMEC (National Museum of Egyptian Civilization) with our guide Hazem. He provided insightful commentary for the sites in Old Cairo and guided us through key artifacts in the NMEC. The NMEC is an absolutely must do while in Cairo. We visited before our Nile cruise, which provided some historical structure for the days ahead.

A Must See Museum - One of the best museums of the world. Our guide Arif did such a great job by coordinating our visit for a less crowded time. He explained us the most important artifacts and made sure we asked our questions. As we were leaving the museum, we were all convinced that Egyptians had better technology more than 5000 years ago than our technology now. One note I would like to add is that, we had a custom tour designed for us by Tour Egypt Club. As part of the tour, we first visited the temples in Aswan and Luxor area. Visiting the temples first and visiting the museums later made it much easier to understand the Egyptian History. Overall, I strong recommend Arif and Tour Egypt Club for your next trip to Egypt.

Egypt with new friends - Tour was thoughtfully planned, and great info at the sights and along the way. Vehicle and driver to all the most interesting sights, even in crazy Cairo traffic. Enjoyed it very much! Chara from Bliss Travel put together a great group of new friends.

“Highly recommended tour guide!" Thank you Aref - This is a recommendation from a Solo Traveller who never books any trip through guides, who decided to give in this time and I cannot recommend Aref Bakry enough! Such an amazing guide, he not only knew his stuff but was fun to be with… my 1 & ½ day short but intensive trip was planned by him with my preferences (fewer breaks, view as much as possible – history + shopping + eating local!) and we killed it! I could have done the trip by myself, but it would not have been smooth and easy without Aref. He knew people and places so well, explained the history so well, introduced the most amazing local places to me, and made the trip the most FUN I have ever had!!! Day 1 (9am to 10pm) Saqqara, complex of King Joser 1) Chapelles de Heb Sed is one of the oldest buildings made and the 1st that had circle-type structures 2) If you like to see a tomb in the pyramid of Unas, this is a cool one.. 3) It’s made of limestone and granite and the scriptures in this tomb are beautiful which made the tomb more prominent compared to others 4) Just there is the oldest pyramid in the world - Pyramid Djoser 5) At the Funerary Complex of King Teti you get to see the daily life drawing in the tombs...this is amazing Giza - Pyramids 1) I only went in the 2nd pyramids tunnel to see the tomb (honestly nothing much to see, but it’s an experience.) 2) And went on a camel ride for fun 😉 Shopped! A LOT! Ask Aref for the best recommendations and make sure he is around to haggle with you 😉 We then drove to Cairo city (almost 40mins drive from Giza)..amazinggg night experience (Friday night is insane since it is an off day for everyone) Ate dinner at one of the most popular restaurants - Nagib Mahfouz restaurant & the food was delicious!!!! Day 2 (9am to 4pm) 1) Old Islamic & Coptic Cairo – the Mosques and churches are beautiful! You definitely do not want to miss this! 2) Khan Elkhakily Market 3) The Civilization Museum – A MUST visit and definitely A MUST to check the mummies out!!! Overall, the trip was fun educational, and well-planned. Thank you, Aref for your utmost professionalism and humbleness. I can’t wait to plan other trips with you!
