The museum displays an extensive collection spanning from the Predynastic Period to the Greco-Roman Era.

The architect of the building was selected through an international competition in 1895, which was the first of its kind, and was won by the French architect, Marcel Dourgnon. The museum was inaugurated in 1902 by Khedive Abbas Helmy II, and has become a historic landmark in downtown Cairo, and home to some of the world’s most magnificent ancient masterpieces.

Khan Al-Khalili - Khan el-Khalili is a famous bazaar and souq in the historic center of Cairo, Egypt. Established as a center of trade in the Mamluk era and named for one of its several historic caravanserais, the bazaar district has since become one of Cairo’s main attractions for tourists and Egyptians alike. then back to hotel

Egyptian Museum and Khan el Khalili - Great communication when booking service and throughout trip. Thr driver Raafat was great with pick up, drop off. He kept us safe while driving and was welcoming. Doaa, our tour guide, was Excellent. She welcomed us with a friendly greeting and knew so much history, you can tell this is her passion and not just a job. Would recommend to others.
