I have to say one of the highlights was going to have Egyptian tea and Turkish coffee at El Fishawy and sitting in the very room - I, with my sister, brother-in-law and niece just spent a most enjoyable day with our guide, Azmy Salama, and driver Ahmed. We learned so much about the places we visited today and about the history of Cairo and it’s surrounding areas. Ahmed is an amazing driver who had no problem getting us from one place to the next in the chaotic traffic. Azmy displayed a wealth of knowledge, was great to be with, and answered all our questions. Instead of walking all around Khan el Khalili, he took us to the royal perfume palace to smell different pure essential oils and to a papyrus shop where we were shown how papyrus paper is made and examples of finished artwork using the paper. I would highly recommend using Tour Egypt Club for their tours, because this tour was excellent!
