Worth the Half Day - We had an enjoyable morning with our host. He was very knowledgeable, kind, and tailored the tour to meet our needs. Understandably, although we didn’t get out of the vehicle in Garbage City, the drive through the community and the explanation opened our eyes to another side of Cairo that we had not yet seen. Likewise for the City of the Dead. The St. Simon churches were unique and our site-specific guide very passionate about his church community.

Something a little different - Loved seeing a different side of Cairo, so facinating to see the recycling supporting a community. The cave church was amazing. We really enjoyed our morning adventure. Our driver and guide Haitham was great excellently manoeuvring us through the traffic and very interesting to talk to. Thanks!

Unforgettable Tour - Everything was excellent. The tour was well organized. My guide Hitcham was professional, kind and fun. And he is a fabulous driver. The view from Mokattam cliff was breathtaking. I had a great birthday🥰. Probably the best of my life. Highly recommended!

Real Insider's Tour of Cairo!!! You Won't See This With Anyone Else - Hitham was the best tour guide we could possibly have imagined for our trip to Egypt. We ended up getting a private tour , just my friend and I and Hitham in his car, and he took us to everywhere we wanted to go and a few special treats also!!! Hitham was very knowledgable and super friendly, a great driver, and knows all the best spots in Cairo and beyond. The cave church and recycling city were mindblowing and really shouldn't be missed. Everyone goes to see the pyramids and museums but very few know about these amazing spots. He even took us to special bakery and lunch spots, brought us water, would stop anywhere we wanted to see a little more, was flexible on when to pick us up and drop us off when we were tired, and offered to help arrange more tours and transports for us later. He answered all my questions (even really nerdy ones) and made us laugh constantly. The Cave Church is really crazy... they prayed for 7 years to figure out how to remove all the boulders, and it's so cool to drive through the recycling city and past the City of the Dead on your way up. The recycling city is like nothing I've ever seen in my life, it's a must if you want to see other ways of life. Hitham arranged for us to meet someone who grew up there who could tell us all about both astonishing places. The City of the Dead is being demolished now and not so walkable now, but he took us around it by car and it was pretty cool (included a photo)! The energy of it is incredible. If you want to have an awesome unforgettable time in Egypt, Hitham is the best. Thank you sooooo much! We will never forget our time with you! And don't forget to tip your guide ;)

Awesome tour - This is a fantastic tour, I ended up with only myself and the guide Bahar. Every place we went to I was so amazed. The highlight of my trip was going to the Mosque in the city of the dead - absolutely stunning!

Terrible - use another tour for this incredible experience - This four hour tour was actually about an hour and a half. I did this Dan tour with another company years ago and it was fabulous!! Really got to learn a lot, see garbage city from different perspectives, drive through the city if the dead where people revitalized it. This tour was a joke. 1.5 hours, mostly spent driving and the “tour” of the city if the dead was just literally pulling over on the highway to look at it. Garbage city was driving through quickly to and from the caves, no stopping, nothing. Very, very disappointing.

Not as described!!!! - The tour was interesting but it is NOTas described ! It was 3 hours at best including both transfers! We were disappointed because of the guide/driver who was in a hurry to take us to the places mentioned and rushed through the program. We booked for the option with lunch and I was so unpleasantly surprised when "lunch" turned out to be two falafel sandwiches that we were supposed to take in the car and take to our hotel?!
