JOHN IS THE BEST!!!!!!!!! - John was the absolute best tour guide we have ever had. His passion and knowledge shined through his welcoming, smiley face. He is extremely caring, informative, and responsible. His driving through intricate roads made us feel safe and secure. The breakfast and lunch was also amazing, healthy, and delicious! He even went the extra mile to include all dietary restrictions. Our whole family definitely recommends this tour to anyone, young or old. We had a blast and couldn’t have experienced Yosemite any other way! From Chicago, with love. Thank you for everything John!!!!

Never Again - This tour company severely lacked a protocol should an emergency happened on the tour. At bridal veil fall, we were ushered by our tour guide to get closer to the fall and my husband and I both I fell on one of the slippery rocks. My husband was fine but I dislocated my left shoulder from the fall impact. Being a physician myself, and with the help of an ER physician who was in our tour group, we tried to pop it back on one of the subsequent stop but the pain was too much and we were non successful. The tour guide offered no solution to get us help. I sat on the tour bus and pretty much tried to weather it. After two and half hours, the pain became more intense and I knew I couldn’t wait for another 8 hours until we get back to Tahoe. At this point, I remembered the park rangers tending to emergencies from one of the videos seen on the tour, we then asked the tour guide on how to contact a park ranger. That’s when he told us our next stop there’ll be a ranger station. The rangers were out of the station but we were lucky to find off duty EMT who told us about a full medical and ER facility in the valley. Our tour guide wanted us to stay on the tour because he didn’t know how we would get back to Tahoe. When we met up with the paramedics, the tour guide seemed to be aware of how they could treat people and I was surprised he never offered to get me urgent help because he wanted to get moving with the tour. I definitely didn’t want to hold up the tour group, but I needed to separate from the group to get care. We ended up getting a ride from the park rangers to the emergency room in the Yosemite valley. The ER physician had to knock me out and pop my shoulder back after the third trial. Kudos to the emergency room team at Yosemite, they were not only good at what they do but truly caring people who went the extra mile to help us figure out how to get back to Tahoe. We ended up staying in one of the hotel at Yosemite overnight, took the Yarts bus to Merced and got a rental car back to Tahoe, a full day. So in summary, this tour completely failed at how to handle an emergency situation that can arise on the tour. The guide also recommended off the path rock climb at Olmsted point and getting to the base of Bridal Veil through the slippery rocks. Safety of the tour group wasn’t a priority. What’s more, our tour guide serve as the narrator, and driver. He had to hold the microphone on one hand and drove the windy roads with one hand. He also had to periodically played videos about Yosemite. They could charge more for the tour and get a dedicated tour guide, and a separate driver. The lapse of safety cost us time, effort, and financially so I would say never again.
