Better than the “other” rainbow mountain! - We stumbled on this tour by accident. We were originally supposed to go to the other rainbow mountain yesterday but I had horrible altitude sickness and we had to cancel. We were trying to find something a little less strenuous to do. The trip was breathtaking! It’s about a 4hr drive each way, about half on dirt roads. I’m a little nervous about mountain roads but Marco was a great driver and I wasn’t worried at all! The views were breathtaking! At normal altitude the trek wouldn’t be bad but at nearly 16000 feet, everything is hard! However, it was very doable even if you aren’t in amazing shape. Nayda was a wonderful guide (along with our llama Hilario) and we took our time and took lots of rests breaks to enjoy the view. She also provided great information on the people and culture of the area. There were no crowds there either!!! We saw a handful of people each way and never had to wait on people to pass to get pics. It has been my favorite excursion in Peru yet!

Best thing we did in Peru! - This tour was absolutely amazing. Nayda was a knowledgeable, friendly, and professional tour guide who was with us every step of the way. Marco drove us safely there and back, even on curvy roads, we were completely comfortable. The mountain tour gave us plenty of photo opportunities and we were able to travel with a Hilario, the llama, most of the way adding to the amazing experience. We can not recommend this tour enough and wish to sincerely thank Nayda for the best day!!!

One of the highlights of our trip! - This was a fantastic 1 day excursion from Cusco! From start to finish it was wonderfully well organised and communication was great. Abigail was extremely helpful when I was organising the trip- communication was clear and timely, and very accommodating. Our guide Nayda was very friendly and knowledgeable- she clearly had a great relationship with the locals and can speak Quechua as well as flawless English. Our driver Pedro was very nice as well and handled the treacherous mountain roads like a pro! We felt safe the whole time. We were the only tourists on the mountain and had fantastic views. We also didn't have to leave Cusco stupidly early like most of the Rainbow Mountain tours do- we were collected from our hotel at 7am. The walk is very gentle and not steep at all, but at 5000 metres you get very breathless with minimal exertion, but Nayda was very good and setting a gentle pace and checking regularly that we were ok. She also carried oxygen with her at all times, though thankfully we didn't need it! The alpaca and llama we walked with seemed healthy and well cared for, ad were accompanied by their owner for the walk who was also very friendly. We also stopped off for a nice lunch on the way home which Nayda joined us for, so it was nice getting to know her. I honestly can't recommend this experience highly enough. It couldn't have been better!

WOW - Wow, that’s about sums it up. Palcoyo Mountain is beautiful, our guide was great. The driver was very skilled to navigate the road up to the mountain. It was a long trip from Cusco, but well worth it. The typical Peruvian restaurant that we eat was very good too.

Frustrated - That it was canceled and never told me until I found out. I haven’t have my refund. I want your company to be more responsible and call by the home when a trip is canceled.
