Amazing trip! - We absolutely LOVED our trip! It was one of the highlights of our holiday! From the start, the communication regarding pick up time and what we needed to bring was clear, the vehicle AC was wonderful, and our guide Noe (Noeh) was fantastic. He took great care to explain every little details at the start of our trip and gave us some wonderful history on the areas we were passing and visiting. I would recommend this trip time and time again. Las Coloradas is beautiful, we loved boating through the mangroves and the Mexican mud body mask was great - especially washing it off at a beautiful beach afterwards! The lunch was pretty good too, I had fish and my hsuband had the chicken and both came with fries, salad, rice and a delicious mango salsa! If you're in the area, definitely book this trip! The only downside, and it is minor, the life jackets on the mangrove trip were not fit for purpose, the clips did not remain fastened. Luckily we didn't need them, but it was pointless wearing them!

Don't hesitate to book - This was one of the best tours I have ever taken!! It is a little pricey but it's worth every pesos, trust me! Pink lake is even prettier than on photos. I would like to thank our great tour guide Jose for being so kind and helpful!!

A unique experience - Be prepared for a very long day, but also a unique tour. I was skeptical regarding how pink the salt pond would be...but it was actually very pink. I regret that I didn't wear something pink to match the lake like many of the other visitors. There were many shorebirds at the pond, so if you enjoy birds, you may see a few species. We also did a mangrove tour, where we saw more birds. Be prepared to wade through some deep muck for the mud treatment portion. There were at least 100 flamingos when I visited in October, so that was a treat. The time at the beach was also nice and the food was good after a long day!

A must do day trip - A must do day trip. Our guide was an excellent guide and went out of his way to talk to us + explain. We also had a great driver. Plenty of water, food and drink at all times and the sightseeing was worth the trip.

Great tour, uncomfortable journey - Great tour in nature. The pink lake is very pink but apparently sometimes it’s not - so be lucky! One major downside - the bus was way too small for my tour group. I was squeezed into something akin to a child seat (I’m 5’10”) with others almost sitting me. A 3.5 hour journey very uncomfortable for that. Would have rated 5 stars if not for the bus

Great experience - Carolina was a superb guide! She took her time to explain the history and the journey to us. She also taught us a few words in the Mayan language. The views were breathtaking, we took several photos.

Beautiful places, lousy tour guide/company - The places were beautiful - pink lagoon, the boat ride in river, etc but the tour company/guide was totally shady. Be prepared that you will need to pay an additional 800 MXN cash on top of the fees for the trip which is apparently for the park entry (which is actually only 75 MXN). They will only tell you this AFTER you have booked/paid for whole trip. Also, on the bus, we were told how the mosquitos were everywhere and we needed insect repellent to be safe from dengue fever... repellent on sale by the tour guide (naturally) for additional 200 MXN for a tiny bottle of insect repellent. Never saw one mosquito anywhere the whole time. And we all (10 of us) just could have shared one bottle. He sold us each one bottle. Tour guide made some good (shady) money for himself. Instructions were poorly communicated throughout the trip and it was NOT a language issue as I speak English & understand Spanish. Everyone was confused. Skip this tour company if you can. I did another tour with Easy Tours and they were fantastic -- excellent communicators, very organized, and no hidden fees.
