Cape Town - Hermanus - Southernmost Tip of Africa - Cape Agulhas

Agulhas National Park - We travel through Agulhas National Park on our way to the southernmost point of Africa.

Southern Right Charters - Optional activity (July-Nov): Embark on a boat trip to see these enormous creatures up close! This activity occurs during lunchtime on Monday in Hermanus, a town renowned for the Southern Right Whales that visit between July and November each year.

Shark Cage Diving · Marine Dynamics - Optional activity: Participants take a one-way transfer with the shark company from/to Cape Town and will be picked up/dropped off at the shark offices by their Garden Route guide. It may sound intimidating, but it’s a very safe activity - the company provides masks and wetsuits (no scuba), and the cage is attached to the boat, so you are not in open water. Shark cage diving participants will miss out on half a day of the standard tour, which includes a visit to the Penguin Colony.

De Krans Wines - Sample award-winning local wines.

Oudtshoorn - Outeniqua Pass - Wilderness National Park - Sedgefield

Wilderness National Park - Discover Wilderness National Park by canoe. Enjoy paddling up the Touw River through indigenous forest, taking in the abundant birdlife. After about 45 minutes, we’ll leave the canoes for a 2km hike along a boardwalk, leading to a beautiful waterfall and rock pools. We’ll return the same way, hiking (2km) and canoeing (45 minutes).

Sedgefield - Knysna - Tsitsikamma National Park - Addo

Bloukrans Bridge - We will stop at Bloukrans Bridge to see the world’s highest bungee jump bridge (216 meters). There will be ample time for adventure seekers to test their bravery.

Storms River Suspension Bridge - Tsitsikamma National Park offers a unique blend of indigenous forest and stunning Indian Ocean coastline. The park provides a variety of activities, including hiking, crossing a suspension bridge, and swimming.

Amazing experience, highly recommend! - I cannot recommend the Earthstompers 6-day Garden Route tour enough!! Especially with Christine as your guide, she went above and beyond to make sure everyone had their ideal trip, that we were well looked after and was enthusiastic every step of the way. If you’re looking for an adventure that combines the beautiful nature, culture, and once in a lifetime experiences that the garden route has to offer, this is the tour for you. I thoroughly enjoyed every minute and would definitely do another tour with Earthstompers if I’m lucky enough to visit SA again in the future. Thank you, Christine, and Earthstompers, for an unforgettable holiday!

Highly Recommend - I travelled to South Africa with two of my friends for the first time and wanted to explore the garden route. Travelling with Earthstompers was nothing short of amazing. Everything was planned to perfection, it was a complete stress free experience. The planned day to day activities were diverse and catered to everyone’s interests especially the optional activities such as sky diving, Bungy jumping etc. The accommodation was of a good standard for a backpacking tour and the meals included were nice and catered for different needs such as vegetarians. Our guide, Christine went above and beyond for the whole group, she was fantastic! She was chatty, knowledgable, fun and always had a smile on her face. Christine put huge effort into ensuring we all had an amazing experience, encouraged bonding and conversation among the group and took lots of memorable photos for us along the way. We truly could not fault her! We would highly recommended Earth Stompers to anyone travelling to South Africa. Emma, Alex and Clodagh

Amazing guide. Incredible places. Best food - The tour guide, Christine, was an absolute legend. I don’t know where she’s got the energy. But she would wake up earlier, pick up everyone, drive to the next destinations, explain everything, resolve every issue professionally. And everything with a smile on her face. I’m not usually going on tours but she made it all worth it. The places and food were incredible

South Africa 6 day Garden Route Tour with Jaco - This was a well organised tour. The guide, Jacobus was knowledgeable of the whole route and was also able to answer some quirky off-the-bat questions from everyone. The guide was considerate to everyone’s needs and expectations which was greatly appreciated. It was nice of the tour guide to have taken a few votes on route to see what everyone wanted to do, the pit stops and toilet stops were well thought out, however the choice in music could have been a bit more modern (but this is a personal preference). The voting system felt more tailored to everyone’s needs which was really considerate. There was a bit of drama on the tour, but the guide was very professional and always had a positive attitude which made the whole experience more sunny and upbeat. My friend and I chose the the twin room with en-suite. Some of the places were really nice and some were slightly outdated. The food was homely and welcoming and the activities were really fun. My friend and I did a couple of thrill seeking activities such as bungee jumping and zip-lining. It was incredible. This route was very scenic and pleasant. I would 100% recommend it to anyone visiting South Africa for the first time and for a short period of time such as me and my friend were. I would actually do the whole tour again. ☺️
