Face to face with the Big 4 - What an experience coming face to face with some of the big 5. This is the best of Africa as it gave us an opportunity to see the lions and other animals at close range which is a big plus especially for my kids. There is more than the big 5 at this game reserve with an amazing drive where we had to stop a few times to take great photos. The drive back above the hill with an underground tunnel is unforgettable seeing the Paarl valley ahead of us. The only downside is that we had to drive for 2 hours each way otherwise it is worth all the penny..... coming face to face with the big 4.

Day Trip Safari from Cape Town - This was one of my favorite trips I took while in South Africa! We saw so many animals up close, including the lions! We were all so pleased with everything on this trip, from the drive there, to the lunch buffet, safari ride, and the scenic route back that Remmy took us on out of the goodness of his heart ❤️ Incredible all around. Must do if you are here.

If you come to Cape Town, leave time to take this trip, it’s a MUST! Remmy also took us through the scenic route back and it was so nice.

A safari where you drive less and see more. - I've been to Africa several times and on a few safaris both here and in south Asia. This is a private game park, and the animals are somewhat restricted with fences but I really liked this tour a lot. First off, on a traditional safari, you might drive 6 hours and see nothing, getting an "African massage" the whole way. Don't get me wrong, there is something exciting about trekking 6 hours and getting a glimpse of a leopard dragging a kill up a tree at a distance or spotting an illusive black rhino, again at a distance usually. But this tour not only has a great buffet lunch to start with, comfortable land rovers but also you are pretty much guaranteed to see animals, quite a few of them. I think if you prefer a little less "camping" and a little more viewing, and especially if you have kids, this is a great place to go. They do have a hotel there also. The viator tour is essentially a ride to the park from Cape Town. For this, Eric my guide, was great company and did a great job getting me there and giving me a little insight to South Africa and safari in South Africa in general. You'll pretty much see most of the Big Five, leopards and cheetahs are always tougher, one is nocturnal and the other just shy, but everything else. I especially enjoyed seeing the rhinos up close, they have a nice herd of white rhinos. Overall, great tour.
