- Pahari African Restaurant - Join us in a cooking experience to learn how to cook a traditional African cuisine meal from start to finish.\n\nThe host will also give you an explanation of the history of African cuisine, it’s ingredients and how the recipes have evolved over time and passed down the generations.\n\nYou will be welcomed with a variety of African drinks choices and tasty African starter snacks.\n\nOn the day you will learn how to make Sadza (mealie pap), meaty beef bones mixed with green vegetables, chicken stew, green vegetables with peanut butter, chakalaka and sugar beans. We also have vegan and vegetarian options. These are the best selling dishes at Pahari African Restaurant, loved by many.\n\nEach person will have an opportunity to contribute. We will then go on to enjoying the meal together, communally, as it is typically done in an African home.\nThe experience will conclude with an African hot beverage (tea or coffee).

Must do cooking class! - Great food, great information/demostration, and great conversation! Our first time in Cape Town. The whole experience was very rich in depth and breadth. Note: be sure if you are taking an Uber to let them know you are going to the restaurant.

The best PAP in CapeTown. - Our cooking class experience was exceptional. This cooking experience was fun, engaging, and enjoyable. The food was as delicious as the experience itself. Florence, Caleb, Grace, and Macee were knowledgeable, kind, and informative. We left feeling educated, informed, and nutritionally WOKE.

Cooking in Cape Town Authentic Africa Cuisine - We had a wonderful time and learned so much. Mr. Caleb and his wife Ms. Florence were very welcoming and highly intelligent. The food was a great experience. Come with an open mind and heart and you’ll have a once in a life time experience. You should definitely make time for this when in Cape Town.

Top experience - It was very nice to do, lots of explanations about the dishes, real African dishes.
