  • Noordhoek Beach - This must be the biggest beach in the Western Cape. Popular for horse riding and surfing. From the vantage point above the beach you can see as far as False Bay.
  • Hout Bay - Hout Bay was a popular place back in 1652 when the Dutch came to set up a replenishment station in Cape Town. They use to fetch timber from there to mend ships and use for construction. Today it is a small fishing boat harbour.

  • Cape of Good Hope - When you come to Cape Town then this is a must see. The park has 1094 indigenous plant species, a few animals namely, Bontebok, Eland, Zebra, Ostrich, Duiker, Caracal, Baboons etc. If you here during August to December then you are sure to see some beautiful flowers in bloom. We will go to the most southwestern point of Africa where you will be served tea & coffee plus a biscuit/cookie. Known as the Cape of Storms the ocean around here is always a beautiful sight.
  • Long Beach - If you’re a surfer then you would of heard of this beach before. Popular little village during the hippie era and still a very laidback place. We will have our first toilet break here (because it’s clean) and stand on the wooden deck capturing the beauty of this place and watch a surfer or two doing their magic on the waves.
  • Cape Point Ostrich Farm - This is the fun stop of the tour. Visit the shop where they sell all the beautiful products made from ostrich leather, painted shells etc. The fun starts when you have the opportunity to feed the ostriches. This provides lots of laughs and good photo opportunities.

We will visit one of these fine estates where you will have a choice of tasting whites and reds. The area is know for its Sauvignon cultivar which loves the cool sea breeze blowing from False Bay during the summer months. After a lazy afternoon of tasting we will head back to the city where you will be dropped off around 5 at your hotel or other accommodation.
  • Boulders Beach Penguin Colony - A must see when in Cape Town. African penguins started this colony in 1982 and today there is just over 2000 birds at this beach. November/December it gets a bit smelly with most of the birds being in their malting stage for 3 weeks long. These birds are on the protected species list and numbers are sadly still dropping. Simply the best way to see South Africa! - Ian was recommended by a friend on our recent world cruise. We are so glad that we followed his advice!! Ian responded quickly to our request and set up our Cape Point tour. He kept us updated prior to our arrival and was waiting for us on the dock when we arrived. What followed was an amazing tour of Cape Town and Cape Point, and all the areas in between. Ian was very friendly, quite informative, and very willing to make changes in the basic itinerary, if we saw something that looked interesting. I cannot say enough about how comfortable he made us feel. We had a beautiful sunny day, and the various stops along viewpoints were simply magnificent. Our adventures at Cape Point, Boulder Beach, the winery and everywhere else made it a trip to remember. Ian didn’t just take us to an attraction and drop us off, he accompanied us the entire time, providing additional color and insight into the beautiful sites we were seeing. I cannot offer enough superlatives for his professionalism, quality of service and friendliness. If you want an African adventure to remember, contact Ian at African Moon Adventures..

An amazing tour!! - We were only in Cape Town for a few days and wanted a tour that got the most activities in...and THIS WAS THE ONE. Ian is an exceptional guide..funny and knowledgeable. We had some rain at the start and end of the tour but it didn't matter as we still got to see all the sights. Ian's timing of the attractions was great as when we stopped at different places it wasn't crowded or full of other tours so we were able to take our time and take in the breat taking scenery. This tour has it all. I loved all the animals we saw along the way..baboons, ostriches, penguins,a dassi and peacocks! Funusyed off the day with some beautiful wine tastings. You should definitely do this tour!

A Cape Town MUST DO! - This tour was everything and more! Ian did an amazing job showing us around all the beautiful beaches, cliff sides, and scenic areas we didn’t even know existed. We had so much fun taking pictures (he is also an excellent photographer), feeding ostriches, visiting the cutest penguins, and had an amazing lunch followed by a visit to a local winery. Ian is extremely knowledgeable and fun to be around for the day which is a bonus. Thanks so much Ian for showing us southern girls around, we loved it!

The experience to beat in cape town! - Just finished an outstanding day tour with Ian. Ian was funny, friendly and very knowledgeable. We had a brilliant time just chatting with him about averting from history, politics and culture. The tour itself was perfect in every aspect. Before the day ended we were desperately looking for slots in his schedule for another tour! And to top it all off he takes amazing photos!

What an Amazing tour of Cape Town, Cape of Good Hope! - Spectacular Day at Cape of Good Hope with African Moon Adventure. Ian, our tour guide was amazing. We saw Cape Town's beautiful coastline from Ian's viewpoint. We were picked up from the hotel, The Westin introduced to Ian, and began our tour of Cape Town. Our tour started at 8 am and ended at 4 by that time Ian had become our friend. Ian shared with us the history of Cape Town, his great sense of humor, and his sights. We visited the Cape of Good Hope, climbed to the top of the lighthouse, visited the famous penguins, and enjoyed a great lunch with Ian at a wonderful seafood restaurant. Ian was absolutely wonderful, and at end of the day, he had become family.

Best Layover Ever!! - Ian, Thanks so much for the wonderful tour! It was an amazing experience that I’ll never forget. The views from the Cape of Good Hope were breathtaking and the penguins were amazing too. Your restaurant recommendations to Nelson’s Eye and The Firemen’s Arms were also excellent.
