Highlights
  • Cape Town Central - We will take you to some places at the monument of Dias before we start our tour. Cape Town’s city center is a bustling hub of activity, blending history, culture, and modernity. It’s home to iconic landmarks like the Castle of Good Hope, a 17th-century fortress, and the nearby Company’s Garden, a lush public park dating back to the city’s founding by the Dutch East India Company.
  • Bo-Kaap - The Bo-Kaap neighborhood in Cape Town, South Africa, has a fascinating history deeply intertwined with the city’s multicultural heritage. Originally known as the Malay Quarter, it was established in the 18th century by the Dutch colonial authorities as a residential area for enslaved and free people from Southeast Asia, primarily Indonesia, Malaysia, and other parts of Africa.
  • Maidens’ Cove - Maidens’ Cove is a picturesque coastal area located between Clifton and Camps Bay in Cape Town, South Africa. The area has a tranquil beach with stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean and the Twelve Apostles mountain range.
  • Hout Bay - Hout Bay, located about 20 kilometers south of Cape Town, has a rich history dating back centuries. The area was originally inhabited by the indigenous Khoisan people, who lived off the land and sea. In the 17th century, European settlers arrived in the area, establishing farms and fishing communities. Hout Bay, with its sheltered harbor and abundant marine life, became a hub for fishing and trade.
  • Chapman’s Peak Drive - Chapman’s Peak Drive is a spectacular coastal road that winds its way along the cliffs between Hout Bay and Noordhoek in Cape Town, South Africa. The history of Chapman’s Peak is as dramatic as its scenery.
  • Noordhoek - Noordhoek, located on the western side of the Cape Peninsula in South Africa, has a rich history dating back centuries. The area was originally inhabited by the indigenous Khoisan people, who lived off the land and sea. In the 17th century, European settlers arrived in the area, establishing farms and vineyards. The name “Noordhoek,” which means “north corner” in Dutch, likely originated from its location at the northern end of Long Beach.
  • Cape of Good Hope - First sighted in 1488 by the Portuguese navigator Bartholomeu Dias, it was claimed to be the southern limit of the African continent. Its name was given by King John II because its discovery was a good omen that India could be reached by sea from Europe.
  • Cape Point - The original lighthouse was built in 1859 on Da Gama Peak, the summit of Cape Point, 238 meters above sea level. This made it very ineffective in mist, which mandated the establishment of the second lighthouse, built in 1914, which is the most powerful on the South African coast.
  • Boulders Beach Penguin Colony - This is a popular tourist spot because of a colony of African Penguins that settled there in 1982. Boulders Beach forms part of the Table Mountain National Park.
  • Muizenberg - This was apparently named after Wynand Willem Muijs, who commanded a small outpost on the shore of Zandvlei in 1743. The Battle of Muizenberg was a small but significant military affair that began on August 7, 1795, and ended three months later.
