Highlights
  • Cape Town Central - Our tour starts with a pick up at your accommodation in Cape Town at 8:00am (flexible) on this all-inclusive private tour to Table Mountain, Cape of Good Hope and Boulders Penguins colony. We begin with a brief drive-by city orientation tour to see important monuments and building in the city centre.
  • Bo-Kaap - From there we proceed to the Bo-Kaap (Cape Malay Quarter) for a photo opportunity with colourful houses. Your tour guide will inform you about the colourful houses and their historical meaning. Taste the Cape Malay traditional eats such as samoosas and koeksisters, which can be purchased from the local informal traders.
  • Table Mountain - We travel to the Table Mountain Cableway Station where we will take the cable car to the top of the mountain to explore. See Cape Town from the top of one of the 7 Wonders of Nature, also one of the most iconic mountains in South Africa.
  • Camps Bay - We take a scenic drive along the Atlantic Seaboard with the mountains on one side and the ocean on the other, passing through Three Anchor Bay, Bantry Bay, Clifton and stop in Camps Bay. Maiden’s Cove is the perfect spot for you to create memories with spectacular photos as you marvel at the magnificent views of the Twelve Apostles and Camps Bay beach.

This cove is one of the best places in Cape Town to take panoramic photos of the Ocean, Camps Bay Beach combined with the views of Table Mountain, Lion’s Head and the beautiful suburbs of Clifton, Camps Bay, etc… We call this the Kodak moment.

  • Hout Bay - Travelling along the Atlantic scenic seaboard we will pass through Llandudno, famous for some of the most expensive real estate in South Africa, until we get to Hout Bay. Arriving at Hout Bay harbour, you will have the option to either take a 45-minute boat cruise to Seal Island to view the seals or you can do some shopping at the market.
  • Seal Island - Should you choose to take the optional boat trip to Seal Island, the duration will be 45-minutes. This excursion is weather-permitting. Please take along a light jersey because the temperatures tend to drop when we are at sea. Note that we will not disembark at Seal Island but will remain on the boat and view the seals from there.
  • Chapman’s Peak Drive - Departing from Hout Bay, we drive along Chapman’s Peak and stop at the viewpoint for spectacular photos. You will soon see why it is little wonder that Chapman’s Peak is one of the most scenic routes in the world.
  • Noordhoek Farm Village - We continue our coastal journey with an optional stop in Noordhoek, with the breathtaking views of Noordhoek and Long Beach beneath us. Travellers will have the option to enjoy some of the best coffee roasted in Cape Town at the Village Roast (for their own account).
  • Cape Point Vineyards Tasting Room - An optional stop for wine tasting at the exquisite Cape Point Vineyards will be offered. Surrounded by beautiful vineyards and views of the ocean in the distance, Cool breezes from the sea make for a slow-growing season, with a late harvest that results in a truly unique Sauvignon Blanc that is recognized across the globe for its rich minerality, structure, and tone. An optional sit-down lunch in their restaurant or a picnic lunch overlooking the man-made dam comes highly recommended.
  • Cape of Good Hope - We explore the Cape of Good Hope and take our iconic photo with the Cape of Good Hope name board. Here we will also explore the Dias & Vasco Da Gama monuments. There are also beautiful beaches that you will see along the way, as well as various fauna and flora.
  • Cape Point - From the Cape of Good Hope we will drive to Cape Point. Arriving at Cape Point we will have a choice between a 15-minute hike or take the Flying Dutchman Funicular to the Cape Point Lighthouse. Here we will also explore the most south-western point of Africa, known as the Cape Point, where the cold Benguela from the Atlantic Ocean, meets the warm Agulhas current of the Indian Ocean.

The Two Oceans Restaurant is also a good option should you wish to have a sit down lunch if it is open. Alternatively, there is also an informal eatery where you can buy a light lunch takeaway.

  • Boulders Beach Penguin Colony - Our next stop will be the Penguins colony in Boulders beach, where your guide will escort you to the viewing point to see some of the 2500 breeding pairs of African Penguins at close range. You may even find one or two of these enchanting creatures walking alongside you on the boardwalk.
  • Muizenberg - Our return route is past Muizenberg where you will see the coloured beach huts. The beach huts are used as changing rooms. These are reminiscent of the \

Great tour! - We had a great time on our private tour with Djiby! We visited many interesting and beautiful locations around Cape Town, including the cape of good hope and the Africa penguins at boulders beach. The penguins were adorable! Djiby is a great guide: smart, easy to talk to, engaging, and full of useful information. We would highly recommend!

Made the best of bad weather - The weather was really crummy and a few parts of the experience were partially or fully closed. But that aside, a shout out to Kagabo for doing what he could to show me around and make the best of it. And the sun poked through for a few minutes right at the penguins, which was what I wanted to see most :). I'm sure during better conditions, this will be even better, and I definitely recommend.

More of a guided driver than tour guide - I would consider this more of a driver with commentary along the ride rather than a tour. Our driver only went iwith us at the penguins, but everywhere else we were on our own. It was a little frustrating seeing other private guides walking at the sites explaining details to their clients and taking photos for them while ours waited in the car. Also, we didn’t do many of the in town items on the itinerary or stop to take any scenes or photos along our drive. Our driver said there was a problem with one of the roads and had to take alternate routes, so perhaps that is why we didn’t do the smaller stops? We did appreciate the driver changing the order of stops so that we could do Table Mountain last in the day, when the clouds lifted. Overall, the car was very nice and clean and the driver was nice and gave great info along the routes. However, I would compare this more to a great Uber driver who really knows the city and can point out interesting details and facts rather than a full tour guide. We feel we did not get the full value based on the price of the tour.

Cape town and surrounds - We were picked up from our hotel early on our first day in Capetown. Unfortunately, the weather was too windy for us to be able to go up to Table Mountain which was very disappointing but could not be helped. We had seen on the tour that going to a winery was an option, but as soon as we mentioned this to our driver he said no, we would not be going to any winery. Again, disappointing. We did have a nice day, saw the penguin colony, drove to the Cape of Good Hope, went to two lighthouses and rode the venicular to the top of one. We did get to see many of the sites around the area and the driver was pleasant and knowledgeable. The day finished earlier than expected, possibly because we couldn't get to Table Mountain, but we were disappointed not to have had even the option to go to a winery.
