Highlights
  • Cape Town Central - Our tour begins with a pick-up from your accommodation in Cape Town and nearby areas at 9:00 am (flexible) for this private tour to the Cape of Good Hope and Boulders Penguins colony. We start with a brief city orientation drive to view key monuments and buildings in the city center.
  • Bo-kaap - Next, we stop in Bo-Kaap (Cape Malay Quarter) for a photo opportunity with its colorful houses, which hold significant historical value. You might even get a chance to greet some locals if they are around. Your tour guide will explain the historical importance of the colorful houses.
  • Camps Bay - We then take a scenic drive along the Atlantic Seaboard, with mountains on one side and the ocean on the other, passing through Three Anchor Bay, Bantry Bay, and Clifton, and stopping in Camps Bay. Maiden’s Cove is an ideal spot for memorable photos with stunning views of the Twelve Apostles and Camps Bay beach.

This cove is one of the best places in Cape Town for panoramic photos of the ocean, Camps Bay Beach, and views of Table Mountain, Lion’s Head, and the beautiful suburbs of Clifton and Camps Bay. We call this the Kodak moment.

  • Seal Island - If you choose the optional 45-minute boat trip to Seal Island, please note that this excursion is weather-dependent. Bring a light jersey as temperatures can drop at sea.
  • Hout Bay - Continuing along the Atlantic scenic seaboard, we pass through Llandudno, known for some of the most expensive real estate in South Africa, until we reach Hout Bay. At Hout Bay harbor, you can either take a 45-minute boat cruise to Seal Island to see the seals or shop at the market.
  • Chapman’s Peak Drive - Leaving Hout Bay, we drive along Chapman’s Peak and stop at the viewpoint for breathtaking photos. It’s no wonder Chapman’s Peak is one of the most scenic routes in the world.
  • Noordhoek Farm Village - We continue our coastal journey with an optional stop in Noordhoek, offering stunning views of Noordhoek and Long Beach below. Travelers can enjoy some of the best coffee brewed in Cape Town at the Village Roast at their own expense.
  • Cape Point Vineyards Tasting Room - An optional stop for wine tasting at the beautiful Cape Point Vineyards is available. Surrounded by picturesque vineyards and ocean views, the cool sea breezes create a slow-growing season, resulting in a unique Sauvignon Blanc known worldwide for its rich minerality, structure, and tone. An optional sit-down lunch at their restaurant or a picnic lunch overlooking the man-made dam is highly recommended.
  • Cape of Good Hope - We explore the Cape of Good Hope and take an iconic photo with the Cape of Good Hope name board. We will also visit the Dias & Vasco Da Gama monuments. Along the way, you’ll see beautiful beaches and various fauna and flora.
  • Old Cape Point Lighthouse - From the Cape of Good Hope, we drive to Cape Point. Upon arrival, you can choose between a 15-minute hike or taking the Flying Dutchman Funicular to the Cape Point Lighthouse. Here, we will explore the most south-western point of Africa, known as Cape Point, where the cold Benguela current from the Atlantic Ocean meets the warm Agulhas current of the Indian Ocean.
  • Boulders Beach Penguin Colony - Our next stop is the Penguins colony at Boulders Beach, where your guide will escort you to the viewing point to see some of the 2500 breeding pairs of African Penguins up close. You might even spot one or two of these charming creatures walking alongside you on the boardwalk.
  • Muizenberg Beach - On our return route, we pass Muizenberg, where you will see the colorful beach huts used as changing rooms. These huts are reminiscent of the “bathing machines” of the 1800s, which were cart-like structures wheeled to the water’s edge for ladies to change into their bathing costumes.
  • Cape Town Central - Drop-off will be back at your accommodation in Cape Town at approximately 6:00 pm.

Cape of Good Hope Tour - We recently experienced an exceptional day tour led by Reagan Kudo, who was accommodating, knowledgeable, and friendly. The meticulously planned schedule allowed us to fully enjoy each destination, including Seal Island, the Cape of Good Hope, and penguin sightseeing at Foxy Beach. Reagan added unique stops like coffee shops and an ostrich farm, enhancing the tour beyond the original package. Lunch at a restaurant with delicious food and a marina view was a highlight. Overall, the well-organized and engaging tour made for a memorable experience. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a delightful and comprehensive tour.

Great guide - Fiston was an excellent driver/guide. He wore a headset mic so was easy to hear; was very flexible to change the itinerary to what we wanted; also very knowledgeable and great sense of humor. We were able to spend as much time as we wanted at the stops and skipped what we didn’t want to see.

Excellent full day tour of the Cape - We set out from Cape Town and had quick photo ops at a few scenic spots along the way like Maiden Cove, and Chapman’s Peak. We stopped at Hout Bay Market for some shopping and in Noordhoek Village. We entered Table Mountain National Park and saw antelope on the way to The Cape of Good Hope. We stopped at the point but it was very windy so we didn’t hike to the top. We traveled on to Cape Point which had spectacular views. Lunch was in Simon’s Bay at a great restaurant right on the harbor and then we saw the penguins at Boxy Beach which was a highlight! Our guide, Papi, was a great driver and was informative about the scenery and the history of Cape Town/South Africa. He was very flexible and let us decide how much time we wanted to allocate at each activity (private tour). We had a wonderful, full day and felt that we saw much of the country side. I would absolutely recommend.

Don’t miss this tour! - What a great tour! It was an 8 hour tour of the best of the Cape Point, The Cape of Good Hope and points between. David was a fantastic guide, he was professional, very knowledgeable and fun. The vehicle was comfortable for 4 adults. The boat tour to Seal Island was great, many seals and a fun boat ride. We enjoyed the drive on Chapman’s Peak Road and was amazed by Table Mountain National Park. Both the cape of Good Hope and Cape Point were amazing. Our favorite was our visit to Boulders Beach to see the African penguins. Incredible! Thank you David for an unforgettable day!

Rushed trip - In the past, we've gotten a tour of Boo Kap, but this was a quick drive-by. We were told it was unsafe, but several groups toured through as we drove by. The whole trip was over before 17:00, by far the fastest I've experienced.

Expensive and did not receive what was promised - The sites visited on the tour were incredible, as was the service of the tour guide Morne Hill. On the negative side, the tour felt rushed, like we were just checking things off a list. Also, there was no wifi provided, and the only "refreshments" was a bottle of water - contrary to what is presented on the company's website. In addition, two thirds into the tour, we suddenly had to change cars, from a comfortable SUV to a small subcompact, due to an administrative/booking error on the company's part with other clients, nothing to do with me. Given all this, and considering how much I was charged for a private tour, I would not recommend going with this company, despite the stellar service of the tour guide.
