Highlights
  • Carmel Beach - This is a short roll down the hill from the shop as a reward for your dog trying out this new sidecar experience, and what a reward it is! This leash-free beach full of dogs is on every dog’s bucket list. There’s also a packed DG trail looking down above the pristine, white sands.
  • Scenic Road Walkway - The most beautiful one-way road along the Carmel coastline. We’ll pass the only coastal design by mid-century modern architect, Frank Lloyd Wright, the Custer-Meyer and and poet Robinson Jeffers’ Tor House made of river-rock, the first original 100-year-old houses here.
  • Carmel River State Beach - This is another opportunity to maximize the California beach experience on a beach sandwiched by dynamic ocean waves and a calm, clear, fresh lagoon the river created. A bird haven, and therefore, a dog’s ultimate joy! We’ll look across the lagoon at Clint Eastwood’s Mission Ranch, the 175yo original dairy farm for the whole peninsula, and our next stop.
  • Carmel Mission - We will pause at the beautiful and historic Carmel Mission Basilica, the crown jewel of the California Missions. Admission is free.
  • Mission Trail Nature Preserve - This part of the route takes us offroad away from city and residential and through nature. We will really appreciate the motors on the electric bikes. We may stop and stand amongst tall Coastal Redwoods or stroll on a narrow trail if you like. Our egress is at Flanders Mansion.
  • Fairy Tale Cottages of Hugh Comstock - As we make our way back through Carmel-by-the-Sea on our way to Pebble Beach, we can get a most memorable photo opp of your dog in the sidecar in front of these life-size dollhouses. With no additional charges.
  • Stillwater Cove Beach - The grand finale, Pebble Beach Lodge and Golf Links has one more beach opportunity after we park our e-bikes on the pier near the Beach Club and experience this aptly named pink sands and rocks for one last jaunt before returning to the shop.

Just give it a gooooooo - This was one of my new favorite tours, my dog (Fancy) loved almost every bit of it.. lol she would’ve rather be in my lap but that was definitely not a good idea so the next best place was a doggie sidecar! Love the idea. We highly recommend you take the tour.. bring water and snacks if wanted and some dog treats too.

Great experience! - We had the most amazing time with our pup! We luckily got a reservation the same day. The staff were extremely friendly and did a fantastic job at giving us the rundown. They also made our pup feel super comfortable and welcomed. Ari, who helped us out, was so awesome - only great things about her service. We can’t wait to come back!

Bike rentals - Very friendly and accommodating. We needed to change our rental period and it was not a problem. The bikes were in prime condition and staff is very helpful. Took the time to make all of us feel safe and ready.

Weird vibes not as described - The scenery and our guide Leslie were lovely. Other than that, but this was not the most pleasant experience. The tour itself seem to be inaccurately named as we did believe that we were going on a 17 mile drive tour when an actuality it was just a tour around Carmel, weirdly inaccurately named. on top of that this folks at the bike shop seemed genuinely unhappy with the fact when we arrived for the tour and we're not only quite tart with us but actually extremely rude to Leslie. It did it seem odd to be rude to somebody you're working with in general, but it was extremely offputting in front of your brand new customers. Everything was just slightly off. When we/she were asking for some adjustment on the bikes the woman working in the shop was genuinely exasperated and making mean commentary. Seems like a very hostile environment. +
