Gare de Marseille Saint-Charles - Start your day with the stunning coastal scenery by enjoying a traditional French breakfast at Brasserie Le Grand Escalier from 7:30 am to energize yourself. Once we’re all set, we’ll ascend the famous stairs to Marseille Saint-Charles station at 8:25 am for a breathtaking 38-minute train ride along the Mediterranean coast to Carry-Le-Rouet. This scenic journey offers a perfect introduction to Côte Bleue, so keep your camera ready! Our train leaves at 8:45 am, and tickets will be handed out during breakfast at Brasserie Le Grand Escalier. Port de Carry le Rouet - Pack your adventure gear and follow your guide on a captivating nature walk! Upon arrival at Carry-Le-Rouet station, we’ll take in the stunning views as we head to the port for a comprehensive history of Côte Bleue and prepare for our exploration. Enjoy the picturesque coastline while uncovering 25-million-year-old stories, fossils, and local flora and fauna. You’ll learn all about the area’s beauty with plenty of photo opportunities. Be ready for your family Polaroid, included in your tour!

Victy Beach - Our next stop is Victy Beach, where we’ll relax with a quick drink at a beach café right by the water. This is your chance to rest your feet and soak in the island vibes.

Sausset-les-Pins - We then continue to the next town, Sausset-Les-Pins, for beach fun and lunch! Enjoy snorkeling with colorful fish, swimming, and free time at the shore. Feel free to grab lunch at one of the beach cafés or visit a nearby grocery store for snacks. Interested in pre-ordered lunch options? Contact us at info@ontreatours.com to check availability! Your guide will provide some snorkeling masks, but you’re welcome to bring your own, along with a bathing suit, beach towel, and sunscreen. Public restrooms are available at this location.

Carry-le-Rouet - Get ready for an exciting sea adventure on the Calanques boat cruise. Discover the beautiful Calanques of Côte Bleue from the marine perspective while learning about what makes this Mediterranean area so special. This optional adventure costs an additional 20€ (weather permitting). If you prefer not to join the boat tour, alternative activities will be available on the day of our adventure.

Port de Carry le Rouet - We’ll then have the option to enjoy delicious French crêpes and ice cream sundaes featuring local Southern flavors. You can also take a quick ride on the summer ferris wheel if you wish (weather permitting).

Gare de Marseille Saint-Charles - After wrapping up our final adventure, we’ll board the train back to Marseille Saint-Charles, concluding an unforgettable day in Carry-Le-Rouet! Train departure times vary depending on the day of your booking. We can’t wait to see you by the sea!

Hosted by an American local who has been living in France for over 10 years, you will experience the true coastal beauty and nature of the famous Côte Bleue. Dive into a delicious French breakfast with fresh omelettes (included in your package), before departing on a gorgeous train ride from Marseille Saint-Charles to Carry-Le-Rouet. Gear up for a beautiful nature walk filled with learning for the whole family, stop on the sandy beaches and explore the underwater world while snorkeling with the colorful fish. Your family will receive a fun panoramic Polaroid photo and the little ones will have a ball enjoying a take home nature activity!
- The total trip duration is 10 hours and please wear sneakers or hiking boots. We can not wait to see you soon with the family!
- Add On: The gorgeous Calanques boat tour is 90 minutes (20€, weather permitting)
- Limited amount of snorkeling masks are available by the host for no additional fee or feel free to bring your own. Fins are not included.
