Highlights

Cat Ba - Hiking to Navi Peak and Visit Tien Duc Cave

Cat Ba - 11:30 AM: Arrive at Ben Beo, where our canoe will transport you to Viet Hai village, a small settlement nestled in the heart of Cat Ba National Park. The scenery in Lan Ha Bay is breathtaking.
12:00 PM: Check into your bungalow situated in the middle of Cat Ba National Park.
12:15 PM: Enjoy a lunch featuring 5-6 traditional Vietnamese dishes.
1:30 PM: Begin our hike to Navi Peak and Tien Duc Cave, offering the best viewpoints of Halong Bay, Lan Ha Bay, and Cat Ba National Park.
5:30 PM – 7:15 PM: Return to the village to refresh and relax in the garden, followed by dinner. After dinner, unwind or enjoy drinks at the bar.
Optional: For an additional $30 per person, experience night kayaking to see bioluminescent plankton.

Lan Ha Bay – Kayaking, Swimming, and Visiting Floating Houses

Lan Ha Bay - Breakfast will be served at 7:15 AM.
8:45 AM: A bus will pick you up from our homestay and take you to the harbor for a boat trip.
9:00 AM: The boat will take you to visit floating houses.
9:30 AM: Visit one floating house to observe local life.
10:00 AM: Start kayaking to explore Lan Ha Bay, with a kayaking spot at Dark and Bright Cave, a conservation area for the Cat Ba langur.
11:30 AM: Lunch featuring seafood will be served on the boat as it cruises by a part of Halong Bay.
2:00 PM: The boat will stop at a sandy beach for swimming and relaxation.
4:00 PM: The boat will drop you off at the harbor, where a golf cart will take you back to our homestay.
Dinner will be served at our homestay at 6:30 PM.
Overnight stay in Viet Hai village.

Lan Homestay Free Leisure – Bus Back to Hanoi

Cat Ba National Park - Breakfast will be served at our homestay starting at 7:00 AM.
You can choose to relax, cycle, or hike in Cat Ba National Park.
11:15 AM: We will arrange transportation for you to return to Cat Ba town via electric car and fast canoe.

Additional Information

We arrange journeys to the most stunning locales in Lan Ha Bay and Ha Long bay, focusing on low-tourist-density areas. Our group size is kept minimal, with a maximum of 10 individuals on the hiking and night kayak tours to view plankton bioluminescence, and around 25 individuals on the second day’s boat tour. Participants will get a glimpse of the local way of life and various experiences.

Too beautiful, beautiful orga and nice - Everything is so well organized! You take care of nothing and everything comes at the right time. And this bay of lan ha... top5 of the most beautiful places on earth (night on a boat is necessary!) The guides are super friendly and considerate.

Enjoy nature on the boat, in a kayak and on the little Pig. - We had a varied time with many attractions and can only recommend this tour to everyone. The staff can speak English very well and make every effort to ensure that guests have a great stay. We were very impressed and would do this tour again any time we come to Cat Ba. Greetings go out to the great team who made this extraordinary time possible for us.

Lovely activities - Had a wonderful three day two nights tour with Beka travel! Long Ha Bay, overnight on the boat, the Lan Homestay, and photoluminescence kayaking were all big highlights, nice mix of activities. Good value. I'm not sure if it's because I booked last minute, but I was not with a consistent group for the three days of travel (jumped around with others doing one-night trips). Heads up to check with booking if this is important to you. If I'd been aware, I likely would have booked in at Lan Homestay for a few nights and booked individual components of the tour at my own pace, since I'm traveling at a slower pace over all anyway. Staff were all very professional and helpful. They were able to accommodate delicious vegan meals one the boat and at the Homestay (double check and verbally confirm again when you're overnight on the boat since there's a lot of different staff, it wasn't totally clear initially). Many thanks to Lily for organizing and helping book transportation, including all the way to Ha Giang after my trip. Big compliments to Thanh for guiding the hike and kayak with relaxed and fun energy, and thank you for the video compilation!

Gentle guide & remarkable homestay - Venturing on an exciting journey with the incredibly friendly Thanh from Beka Travels, I relished the jungle exploration and the charm of night kayaking. Thanh's spontaneous creation of a captivating video, along with the tranquil retreat at Lan Homestay featuring charming huts and delicious cuisine, made the trip truly special. Thanh's careful planning significantly enhanced this delightful adventure.

Very good activities but need better communications - I mistakenly booked this tour thinking it was 2 nights on a cruise boat. The 2 nights actually was on land at a home stay on an island. I actually liked it better. The home stay is very spacious and the grounds is very pretty. The activities included hiking, night kayaking, cruising the bay, more kayaking, swimming and visiting a fish farm in the bay. All of our tour group only spent one night. There were no other activities if you spend the extra night. Overall we love the tour and highly recommend it. The only improvement feedback we have is for tour operator to have more proactive communication. We were not given specifics regarding the itinerary so we were having to ask for information at various points in the tour.

Beautiful and Relaxing - We participated in the 3 day 2 night tour and really enjoyed our time. The homestay itself is very beautiful, exotic, secluded, and quiet. We were offered a small hut-like room with a hammock outside, overlooking a pond surrounded by greenery. All the staff were extremely friendly, namely Thien and Jerry, whom we interacted with the most. The hike on the first day was quite intense. 2km of steep uphill on rocky terrain. I would recommend preparing proper footwear and water. The view at the top was stunning though. The boat tour on the second day was incredible. We kayaked, swam at nearby beaches within the bay, ate lunch on the boat, and visited a fish farm. My favorite part was the swimming. Definitely want to give a shout-out to Ryan who was our guide for that tour — he was so knowledgeable, fun, and amazing at communicating. We would highly recommend doing a tour with him. The only thing we would change about the tour would be to make it longer. We left in the morning at 9am and we came back to the dock at 3:20pm. I wish it could’ve been longer and we could’ve seen the sunset on the bay as well. In the evening, we went for a night kayak and saw the night plankton and floating village was really beautiful and serene in a different/subtle way! The third day we just relaxed and talked to other travellers through breakfast and lunch and then left to head back to Hanoi. Overall, I appreciated how coordination was very easy and all we had to do was follow instructions. It’s a slow placed tour so I would recommend it if you are looking for a relaxing time! Thanks everyone for a great stay!

Unique experience - We did the 3D2N tour with Beka Travel, where we spent two nights in a homestay in the Viet Hai village. We had an amazing time, and would without doubt choose the same option again! A special thank you to Thanh, that made our stay extra special, he gave so much of himself, and made us feel extremely welcome, and part of the family. Also an extra thank you to Chilly, our guide for the day on the boat, who was also really accommodating, knowledgeable and kind, and also made sure I got back some stuff I forgot on the boat! All in all a 11/10 experience.
