Catania - Your personal tour leader will pick you up at your accommodation/port in Catania, and you will start your wonderful private travel to the highest active volcano in Europe.
Driving by comfortable, air-conditioned car through the small authentic mountain villages, you will admire unforgettable picturesque views of Sicilian countryside full of oranges and lemon plantations, olives and almond trees, houses and churches built of lava stone. Enjoying amazing sea view and lava fields, you will arrive to a charming mountain town Zafferana Etnea, where you will visit local honey store and taste the produce of the fertile volcano land - honey, olive oils, olives, wines and liquors. -
Mount Etna - You will continue to ascend Etna reaching “Rifugio Sapienza” station at 2000mt. Here you can visit famous Silvestri Craters, admire breathtaking panoramas, visit souvenir shops offering gifts of lava, refresh yourself in some bar or restaurant.
Optional ascent by cable car/4X4 with an authorized Alpine guide to 3000mt.
After visiting Mt.Etna, the guide will chauffeur you in relax to one of the best wineries on Etna slope. At the winery you will have will have a tour of the estate, see how the grape is growing, and visit the cellars, while the expert sommelier explains you all about the wine making process and the history of this family run winery. Then you will have traditional delicious lunch of locally produced cheeses, salami, prosciutto, fresh bread, olives and home-made olive oil and a typical pasta dish. A professional sommelier will offer you 4 glasses of Sicilian Etna red and white wines.
After the tour, your guide will drop you off at your accommodation or port in Catania.

Your friendly private guide will tell you history of volcano creation, about eruptions, culture, myths, and folklore of “Mamma Etna” and Sicily itself. Driving by private car through authentic mountain villages, you will reach “Rifugio Sapienza” at 2000mt. Great views of Etna - Private tour. Punctual service, picked up from the hotel, English speaking driver Roberto was great. Had a lovely tour of making honey by hand and tasting local oils and wine. Fabulous guide and tour on mount Etna . Then had a great lunch and tasted two wines in a small old winery. The surroundings were stunning and beautiful. Would recommend this tour and a lot cheaper than booking via Viator tours. Fabulous day to celebrate our Pearl wedding anniversary 🎉

This is an excellent tour & lunch/wine tasting - Excellent day seeing Mt Etna and learning about the volcanic process. Antonio was an outstanding guide. Excellent English, positive and very knowledgeable. We enjoyed our time with him! The lunch was excellent. Very generous and we tasted one sparkling, two white and two red wines. A special day. Take this trip - you’ll learn a lot from Antonio and enjoy a lovely lunch!

Great tour with experienced guide - We had a very great day! Manuele picked us up directly from our hotel. He was really informed about the Etna and the land around the volcano. We also stopped during they way as he showed us some details which you will definitely miss without a guide.
The Etna itself was amazing!
After we got some great facts about volcanos we had the opportunity for a break in the small restaurant up the mountain.
We than received at the vineyard. So beautiful! The winemaker gives us a interessting visit and explained how to make wine.
The food we got served was amazing and all the wine we got to try fit great.
Definitely a tour to recommend! Thank you so much!

Mt Etna Sicily Personal Tour - Rafael did an outstanding job of taking us from our ship to Mt Etna including much history and vulcanology. At the end of the visit to the mountain volcano we were treated to a delicious lunch while sampling wines from the winery/restaurant. After returning to Catania Rafael drove us around for a quick visit of the city. He was even quick to return to the pier and bring me my dark glasses that I had left in the car. All in all very educational and enjoyable day. I recommend this tour over any bus tour by far.

Travel Agent Approved! - I am a Travel Agent, therefore I did not have the pleasure of enjoying these wonderful tours, but I wanted to leave a review because my client's have commented many times that they really enjoyed the tours, the tour guides and the comfortable transportation to and from the tour.
