Behnd the scene glimpse into Cantania's history - Our guide was prompt and well prepared. This was a fantastic way to learn more about Catania's interesting history! We would recommend this tour for anyone who would like to understand more about the influence of earthquakes and volcanic eruptions on this Sicilian city.

Very interesting tour - Very interesting tour with Mathilde. Covered parts of Catania that we did not know about and would not have found on our own. She was very knowledgeable and really explained things about the city and the 17c volcanic eruption and earthquake.

A highly recommended activity! - A very informative excursion. Orestes, an archaeologist, is very knowledgeable about the history and geology of Catania. We learned a lot!

A fundamental stage - I recommend the underground tour to all those who stop, even if only for a short time, in Catania. They are fascinating and are found in the most unexpected places. Unfortunately I have to point out that all the sites are accessible via quite steep steps, so if you have difficulty walking it could be a problem.

What a Pleasant Surprise! - Wonderful tour of the underground sites of Catania! We really enjoyed an interesting tour with Matilda. She took us around the city and underground giving an excellent history of the city, the affects of past volcanic eruptions and how the people have adapted to living so close to a constantly evolving landscape. Some of the underground locations were in surprisingly interesting places; for example entering a local restaurant/bar to see a grotto with fresh running water! Highly recommend this tour!

Forgotten Catania - I was lucky enough to explore underground Catania with Oreste, our guide, who was very knowledgeable and very nice. His deep knowledge and the passionate way in which he shared the history of the city made the experience unique. Despite being from Catania and knowing much of the history linked to this city, I was struck by seeing places that are usually only seen from above or passing by. Very exciting to retrace the story through each step, leading us to discover fascinating details, history and folklore. A wonderful way to rediscover the often overlooked beauty of your city.
