Familiarize yourself with your bike on the highway ride heading south of Chiang Mai to Doi Inthanon National Park, the highest peak in Thailand, 2,565 meters above sea level. Ride along the excellent winding mountain road through pine forest scenery. Visit Thailand’s finest waterfall, nature trails, Royal pagodas, and botanical gardens. Descending to Mae Chaem for a relaxing lunch at the local restaurant. After lunch, ride on, passing through pine forests until we reach Mae Sariang, near the border of Myanmar, where you later enjoy your peaceful accommodation.

The dream biker’s excursion “Fantastic Lanna Kingdom” will take you first to the highest peak of Thailand (Doi Inthanon with 2,565 meters above sea level). Ride along the winding and narrow twisty curvy roads with high mountain scenery (Mae Hong Son Loop). 1,864 curves through a vast panorama view of Mae Hong Son, the charming Pai, the lovely Tha Ton, the impressive mountainous scenery of Doi Mae Salong, Doi Tung Royal Villa and of course the famous Golden Triangle, where three country borders meet: Thailand, Laos, and Myanmar. An unforgettable riding experience as we pass through natural, historical, traditional and cultural attractions. Lots of great reasons, why this tour is our Bestseller! We run this tour only twice a month. Places are limited and in high demand, because we limit our tours to a maximum of 10 riders. Small groups are safer and friendlier. Ride your dream!
- We strongly recommends that all protective clothing be worn. We provides all motorcycle protective gear. If you require any special size clothing it would be preferable to bring the protective clothing with you. In Thailand motorcycle helmets are compulsory; boots, protective clothing, and gloves for riders and passengers are strongly advised
- Evidence of motorbike driving license is required for at least 4 years of riding experience
- The itineraries may change as we make improvements to our tours. Our brochures are updated when tour itineraries change or the need arises. We reserves the right to amend the tour route due to road works, weather conditions, or our new research information on routes. No refunds will be given due to any route change.
- Minimum age is 21 years
- If you have any specific dietary requirements, please inform us when booking so we can make the appropriate arrangements for you. The support vehicle always carries cool bottled water and cool refresher towels. Snacks can be purchased during stops. We do not provide any alcohol on tour, and do not allow any alcohol consumption during the day while motorcycles are in use. Guests may consume alcohol in the evening when the motorcycles are not in use.

Well done - The bikes, the technical service, the Hotels selected und the amout of Kilometers driven per day, the guides experience his flexability and his caring for everybody were in gog shape, all good balanced and well done

Best Motorbike Tour ever. - first of all, this is my first solo trip and it the first time riding long distance on a motorcycle. I didn't know what to expect regard on this tour. However, this company (Big Bike Tour Thailand) has a very solid operation start from picking up from the airport to riding the bike till the last day. everything are set and organized. I enjoyed the ride so much and the tour guild (Phong) was amazing. Everyone on my tour was so friendly and supper fun to hang with. Phong was so profession and very polite. He does his best to please everyone and make everyone enjoy the ride and not worry about anything and I mean anything at all. I didn't know what to expect so I only booked the 5 days tour but after riding with Phong and people on my group. I wish I could had book the 10 days or longer. I definitely recommend this company to all my family and friends also, I am for sure 1000% will be back for more. thank you Big Bike Tour for provided such an awesome experience on my first time on a motorcycle tour specially Phong and his mechanic.

Thrilling, beautiful, great fun! - Well maintained bikes, great tour on good roads and perfect food sometimes away from tourist spots. But above all the very warm and attentive care of our three guides Chao, Pong and Siam.
That was my first but certainly not last tour with BBT Chiang Mai!

5 Day Lanna Kingdom Tour - Amazing tour through the Mae Hong Son loop and Northern Thailand. The guides, Chao and Pong, and mechanic, Siam, were top-notch. Everything is taken care of - all you have to do is show up, ride, and have a good time. Would highly recommend.

Big Bike Tours Northern Thailand - Excellent - My first time doing a motorbike tour in Northern Thailand
Roads were very good, lots of twisty sections, did the MaeHong Son loop (1864 bends) plus lots more.
The tour company are very good.
Motorbikes are pretty new and all in good condition, guides (Pong and Kai) were excellent, accommodation was excellent, food was local and very good. Great organisation and you could ride to your ability.
Highly recommend these guys if you want to do a tour here.

Great Tour even for a beginner like me - The trip was an awesome experience. From the booking where all kinds of my questions could be sorted, via the pick up in Chiang Mai everything was great. And we had barely started. I brought some of my own gear and rented some from Big Bike Tours because I wanted to keep my luggage light. The gear they provided was in awesome shape and they could accomodate to my big head :D
Most importantly the bikes are in great shape and the tour is well organized and safe to ride. Our guide Chao took the first day to assess the overall skill of the group and set the speed and difficulty accordingly. In our case that meant, we were pretty fast on our way and had loads of fun. Some of us wanted to take it a bit slower which also worked great, as Chao stopped whenever we left a street or made a brake to keep the group together. As this was my first tour like this, this gave me some comfort as I could fall back without breaking the fun for the more experienced guys.
The accomodations and restaurants along the way were also great. Good comfort and a well balanced mixture of Thai and Western standards and food.
Overall I'm already looking forward for the next trip with Big Bike Tours.

If your thinking about it? Just book it!! - These Guys are great and the tours are even better, just finished a 5 day Lana Kingdom tour on January 21st and again they put on a great tour, with great bikes, great hotels, great food and fantastic company. The roads they take are 1st class riding roads with lots of variation from single carriageway to dual carriageway (racetracks). The sights and tourist attractions are well thought out and make it not only a bike tour but also showing the highlights of Northern Thailand. Its still very quit in Thailand but this doesn't take anything away from the tours but adds to lovely quit roads all to yourself.
The Covid restrictions and the organization in Bangkok airport was superb and had the PCR results back within 5 hours, just ensure you apply for your Thai Pass when you book.

BBT 17th Jan 2022 Covid Edition - Just finished my 3rd tour with BBT and although Covid travel could have made it difficult this was not the case.
With up to date guidance from BBT they informed me on the importance of quick application for my Thai Pass with QR code so I knew I was good to go on this amazing trip. (Very Important!)
BKK airport was well organised and with our PCR tests completed enroute to the hotel we were good to go.
Our road captain this trip was Noah with Yai following in our support vehicle ensuring the bikes were checked daily and our luggage was available normally minutes after we arrive at each stop.
The benefits of travelling to this biking heaven are too many to mention as the roads have everything you could ask for from fast sweeping bends to technical curves on the mountain passes. With the guidance of Noah everyone riding finds their own pace in the warm dry weather.
Stopping to take in the best views along with sites of interest like the Tham Luang Cave where the Wild Boar football team were rescued it’s a very informative trip.
Not only is it biking heaven but with BBT looking after your meals every plate that arrived made it feel like a food tour. We ate along with the locals as well as carefully selected restaurants. Khao Soi being my favourite dish of Northern Thailand.
The hotels on this trip were immaculate with the staff being attentive, each rider in their own room and a cold beer waiting on you.
Travel may have changed with Covid but BBT are still leading by example and giving exactly what they say they will.
“ A BIKE TOUR THAT MADE ME THINK ABOUT NOTHING EXCEPT THE NEXT CORNER ! “
