Great trip - Overall it was a lovely experience. Joanna, the tour guide was very lovely, informative and really made you want to listen to her stories and learn about the history, geography and culture of Crete.

The best beach in Greece, according to me. - There is nothing to be compared with, not even close. This beach, lagoon, however you wanna call it, this is the beach of the beaches in Greece at least if not even in whole Europe. There are some hidden gems in Italy (e.g. Sardegna) but that is not the topic here.

Best beach in chania - Enjoyed my trip to this beautiful, clean beach with my family. Water was clear and prefect for snorkelling. Tour guide was quite knowledgeable. However spent only 3-4 hours on beach. I would recommend going to this beach by taxi(or possibly by bus) and spending whole day.

A little heaven - I spent an afternoon on this amazing beach which is a must see if you come to Chania. The water is wonderful and the sand is not really pink but it is still a stunning beach to go and relax. The tour was more than just staying at the beach as we also visited a cave from where you also have a wonderful views of the mountains and after the beach we stayed in a restaurant where the food was quite good. Very good tour with a nice guide as well. I definitely recommend this tour.

Great tour! - Loved this tour! Not only did they take you to the beach but they stopped at a beautiful cave on the way. They also stopped for lunch at a local cafe which was so yummy!

Excellent trip to a beautiful beach - It is an excellent trip to one of the most beautiful beaches of Crete. Organisation and timing was as expected so everything was OK. Good tour to go and explore a remote part of Crete, beautiful scenery on the road as well. Definitely recommended.

Good overall - This hotel needs a real refresh, the juices and cocktails are far from the best we have tasted in Sri Lanka...but the staff, in particular Chathuvi, charmed us with his sense of groove and his smile and Upali with his legendary humor! The rooms are comfortable

Some pink sand visible! - Very attractive beach - certainly bits of pink sand could be seen, though not a lot! The shape is attractive and it is large, with an island just offshore that 2 of our party walked out to (sea came up to and over their knees though). The day we went there was a stormy time of extremely strong winds, so we found a sheltered niche behind a sand dune, which was fine!

Lovely - The places were amazing, and the staff absolutely fantastic !!! Lugares fantásticos y staff increíble!!

Only 3 hours to spend at the beach - We booked this trip via our hotel for only 20 euros per person, TripAdvisor doesn't seem to be the cheapest option here. Pick up time from our hotel was at 8h15am and by the time all other guests were collected it was almost 10am. On the way to Elafonisi we stopped over at the cave of Agia Sofia for a short visit. At 11h30 we finally arrived at the beach where the tour guide informed us that the stay was reduced to 3 hrs due to the gusty, cooler weather. The beach is very pretty, but not sure if it's the most beautiful one of Crete. As the weather didn't invite to sunbathe or swim we walked to the island and visited the charming, rustic chapel. There are beach bars offering hot and cold drinks, sandwiches, salads, fries, ice creams for reasonable prices, everything you need for a beach day. At 2h30 we departed from the beach and our tour guide informed us that we would be going to to have lunch. We stopped at around 3h30 at Elos village where the Kamares restaurant expected our arrival – it was pretty obvious that the travel company had a deal with them. Since most people had eaten at the beach, coffees were ordered to pass the time. The tour guide and driver were enjoying their full, probably free lunches. Back in the coach, the tour guide made a sneering comment regarding people 'only' having coffees, which I found a bit off. After Elos we headed back. The bottom line is that too much time was wasted sitting in the coach or visiting places other than Elafonssi beach.
