"The good, the bad and the ugly" - Mixed feelings about this trip, its a very long day and if you dont mind being hearded like sheep all day then it maybe for you. If you are unadventurous this is ideal. The pick up is quite well coordinated but its an early start, its a bit of a bun fight at the port as the organisers have several different nationalities to deal with, all with our own strange idiosyncracy`s The ferries used are ok, the older one is more comfortable than the new ship which is odd. Breakfast and Dinner are laughable and not worth the title, take your own drinks and snacks for the way over. Bun fight disembarking, white knuckle ride up the cliffs. Then onto the beautiful views and plenty of photo opportunities , this is worth the journey. Informative commentary is provided all through the day by the guide. Find somewhere to eat in Fira off the beaten track with a great view is again worth the journey. Seeing Donkeys left out all day in the sun for transporting humans, its the 21st century, this is the ugly. Then back to the ferry terminal and bun fight central. Im going to Santorini again but Im going to go independantly, see the beautiful towns and views and a lot more on the island apparently when the day trippers have gone, which after being one myself gave me a taste for the island, however I need to see it from a different prespective.
