- Giant Panda Breeding Research Base (Xiongmao Jidi) - Meet your friendly English-speaking guide at your hotel lobby and you’ll head to the Chengdu Panda Breeding Center, a non-profit research and breeding facility for giant pandas and other rare animals. Spend your morning with the cutest, yet impressive, creatures in China! 3 hours inside the Panda Center, tour through the baby and adult panda areas. On a guided tour, visit different sections of the center to get a full overview of a panda’s development. Visit the baby garden, where you can see giant panda cubs born in summer, which weigh only about 3.5 ounces (100 grams) at birth and by the third month are able to walk on their own. Then stop at the sub-adult garden, where the adolescent pandas hang out, and see the adult garden, which houses the giant pandas in all their full-grown glory. Take pictures of this endangered species eating bamboo, sleeping or frolicking about. Finally, visit the red panda section to see these small adorable animals and try to spot the sleeping red pandas stretched out on branches in the red panda garden.

Great guide and visit - Had a great experience with Wells at the panda breeding center. He helped us navigate the crowds and saw lots of giant and red pandas. He told us about the pandas, the center and the city in general during our tour.
Wells also joined us for lunch and dinner shopping afterwards. His english is very good. He knows some very challenging vocabulary words from his studies.
Wish we had more time together with Wells and in Chengdu.

Great experience with a great guide! - Seeing the pandas was an amazing experience. It was made even better by our fantastic guide, Wells. He was friendly and warm and very knowledgeable as well. He speaks English amazingly well. He went above and beyond even helping us after the tour.

Amazing Experience - Had an amazing experience with Jojo our guide showing us where to go and avoiding long queues. The whole morning was fantastic, we managed to see so many pandas. She also shared with us all her knowledge and experience about the city other than the panda’s breeding center. Will definitely book with Aviator for all my travel excursions in the near future. Awesome, 10/10! - Booked the half-day option and it was amazing! Sylvia was an awesome tour guide and we had a seamless pickup/tour/drop-off experience. Be ready to get your steps in, the park is massive & we were able to see all of it. Would definitely recommend this if you're planning to check out the Panda Base while in Chengdu!

Great tour and great guide! - This tour was great! As a couple that can only speak English, we would have found it super difficult to navigate the park on our own so we thought a tour would be the best option. We were picked up from our hotel and the tour was private with a guide called Jason. I could write a whole review on Jason alone, super kind and interesting person, very attentive, and perfect English speaking. Would 100% recommend.

Excellent experience - Wells was an excellent tour guide and very knowledgeable about the panda site. It is worth going in the morning if you plan on going in hot weather (summer time) as the pandas get too hot by the afternoon and will go inside. We still saw 10+ pandas but mostly indoors.

Pandas in Chengdu. - Wells is the best guide we could hire, he explained everything to us in detail.
Going to visit the bears is the most beautiful thing we could do in Chengdu, I was a child again for several hours and it was magical to be able to admire the pandas.
I would do it again without hesitation.

Do this tour! - Wells was an outstanding guide at the Chengdu Panda Research and Breeding Base. His warm personality and exceptional English made us feel instantly comfortable. He shared fascinating panda facts throughout our tour and even helped us navigate the area and catch our train afterward. I highly recommend Wells for an informative and enjoyable experience!

Nice visit with private guide to be recommended with small children - Wells was a good guide. Punctual at hotel. Showed us practically the whole park without stress and helped us with carrying our buggy down the stairs 😄 thanks Wells. Saw few pandas actively as we had an earl pick up at 7:30AM . Prepare for loads of tourists though .
