Tour in Xi’an

The Museum of Qin Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses - Known as “the Eighth Wonder of the World,” the Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum showcases an impressive level of sculpture. Located 30 km east of Xi’an City, the site was discovered by four local farmers while drilling a well in 1974. It has since become one of China’s most important attractions and the top site in Xi’an. The museum includes Pit 1 (the largest), Pit 2, Pit 3, and the exhibition hall of the chariots and horses.

Xi’an City Wall (Chengqiang) - The Xi’an Ancient City Wall is the most well-preserved and largest city wall in China, built for military defense during the Ming Dynasty about 650 years ago. You can optionally ride a bike on the city wall.

Muslim Quarter - Walk through the underpass and reach Drum Tower Square in 5 minutes. The guide will share some basic facts about this old city and its must-see attractions along the way. Soon, you’ll arrive at the grand Drum Tower, which has stood for over 600 years. Behind it lies the bustling Muslim Quarter, always crowded from morning to night. The area is filled with various stalls and vendors with interesting hawking styles. Follow your guide through the crowds and learn the hidden stories behind the local snacks.

Shaanxi History Museum - One of the largest and most famous museums in China, the Shaanxi History Museum houses cultural heritage artifacts unearthed in Shaanxi Province. Despite being a provincial museum, its collection is of national significance in both quantity and quality, as Xi’an served as the capital for more than 13 dynasties in ancient China. Follow your guide to explore the priceless exhibits and learn about China’s hidden history and splendid civilization (Shaanxi History Museum is closed on Mondays).

Big Wild Goose Pagoda (Dayanta) - The Big Wild Goose Pagoda is a sacred site for worshiping Buddha. Originally built to store sutras and Buddha figures brought back from India by Xuanzang during the Tang Dynasty, the pagoda is now surrounded by a large garden where visitors can enjoy a pleasant walk.
