  • Doi Suthep-Pui National Park - We start our hike just above the Doi Suthep temple, walking 2 to 3 hours through highland jungle until we reach the Hmong Hill Tribe village near the mountain’s summit.
  • Khun Chang Khian - At the Hmong Hill Tribe village, after our trek, we rest, have a light lunch, enjoy the stunning views, and use our free time to explore until we are ready to mountain bike down to Lake Huay Tung Tao.
  • Doi Suthep-Pui National Park - Now we experience what we came for: over 2 hours of downhill off-road riding with exceptional viewpoints and a touch of adrenaline.

Additional Information

At 9:30 AM, our adventure begins with a hotel pick-up to the base camp. After a safety briefing, we gear up and fit our bikes before shuttling to Monthatan Waterfall. Here, we start our 11 km hike through stunning highland jungle, home to towering indigenous Mai Yai trees, towards the Hmong Hill Tribe Village at the summit of Doi Pui National Park.

After about 3 hours of steady walking, we reach the summit village at 1400m, where our bikes and gear will be ready. After a well-earned lunch break, we descend through the National Park on mountain bikes. The 2-hour (14 km) ride down to Lake Huay Tung Tao is thrilling, with gravity rewarding us with a cool downhill ride and breathtaking views of the Mae Ping Valley.

Once lakeside, we enjoy a delicious meal with cool drinks and can take a refreshing dip in the lake before heading back to our Chiang Mai hotel, returning around 4:30 PM. This tour, combining hiking and biking, offers an unforgettable adventure through Northern Thailand.

Great hike, great guides, excellent coffee, okay bike ride. - The lush jungle hike up was excellent with loads of flora and fauna. The guides were patient and informative. The coffee up top was as local as one could ever ask for. The bikes coud use revamping for us folks spoiled at home with nice mtn. bikes, but just enjoy the ride and try not to expect a 'hardcore' biking experience. The team was great!!

Solid workout, but worth it - Had an awesome time doing this, it's a tough hike. Ive done trekking before but never in jungle conditions with humidity.. The first part is quite steep but it gets easier. The mountain biking is a lot of fun, I took the easier route and glad I did.. I'm sure I would of wiped out on the hard route haha. I'd highly recommend if your physically fit and want something adventurous to do in Thailand.

Awesome hike and bike, with banging coffee at a plantation - Awesome experience, best thing I did in Thailand I think. I’m very sorry not to remember the guides name but he was great, knowledgable, funny and professional. We had a small group which was great. Hike was 7km 700m elevation, bit slippy in parts so you need proper shoes not just trainers if it’s wet. If you’re not fit, you won’t enjoy it. Coffee plantation was incredible, awesome treehouse style place with their own coffee, I bought some to take away(need cash obviously). Had a good lunch too. The downhill mountain bike was so fun, and it started raining heavily which made it even more fun. Through lychee and avocado plantations. Lychees tasted delicious! Again, you can do it slowly and safely, but if you’ve never mountain biked or limited experience you’d find it hard and perhaps scary at points. Proper pads and helmets are provided though, and it’s not dangerous. Bikes were great too. All in all Highly recommend

Awesome experience… Donai was the best lead. - Hike was tough with 40 degree temp. However downhill biking was a blast. It’s not a beginner friendly activity. I had a wipe out, and scraped my knee and arm pretty nicely. Donia our group lead gave prompt First aid! He’s the best! Will do it again in winter!

Adrenaline 100% - Great experience!!! 10/10, 5 stars. The hike has a large elevation change at the very beginning, but levels out afterward. Dinner at the summit is awesome. The afternoon is a mountain bike descent. I thought it was a beginner level descent, but no. High speed technical descent. You have to be comfortable on a bike and not be afraid. 100% adrenaline with quality moments of rest. Super committed guide with a good level of English

Best tour I have done in Chiang Mai - It was one of the best fun things I have done in the 3 months I have been traveling. The hike was awesome, but there were times when it got hard and had to use hands to climb, but it felt great at the finish line. The guides ( B, aka Basketball, and Tony) were awesome. We were there to help or stop whenever we needed rest or help. Lunch was dope, and the best part was the biking back down. Everyone was so helpful and encouraging that this made my whole trip in Chiang Mai worth a while.

Experience the hill farms and Mountain View, plus great exercise! - The guides were very attentive and safety minded for our hike and bike. Water and rest breaks provided and everyone did well. This is an intermediate hike and bumpy my bike ride. Being fit is key. The views of jungle and mountains are wonderful, and our guide had good English and many stories to share.

Fun day out - Great opportunity to try proper downhill MTB. Definitely not for the faint of heart as its a steep and bumpy ride. Fun day out all round. Would be better if there were larger option bikes available; they all seemed to be M size so it was difficult to pedal uphill on the few occasions that was needed.
