- 8Adventures - This awesome 10KM White Water Rafting adventure is broken into 3 sections. First section of the river is a great warm-up, it has one Class III rapid and is a beautiful part of the river with the jungle offering lots of shade. The middle section is action-packed with rapids and is renowned as the best white water in Thailand! Most of this is Class III and IV rapids. The third section gives you some time to relax before entering a great Class III and into a continuous section of rapids that lead down to 8Adventure’s base camp
We have top-of-the-line helmets (CE approved) & life jackets (US coast guard approved). Expert trained guides to make sure your adventure is safe. Trip includes pickup from your hotel with in Chiang Mai City by van, towel for drying off, shower facilities, lockers & lunch (Vegetarian option available). Make sure to bring a 2nd set of dry clothes for the ride home. We are a premium service with focus on safety first.
For children under 15 or as a choose for adults filling apprehensive about the white water we may ask or you may choose to go around the difficult section with the van. There is a road along this entire section.

Additional Information
Join this Chiang Mai rafting adventure and takes you on a thrilling river over class III and IV white-water rapids. You will learn paddling technique from our expert trained guides to make sure your adventure is safe. Lunch and hotel transfers is included.
Program itinerary:
11:30am-12noon: Pick up in Chiang Mai and drive to our camp takes about 1.5 hours
13.15pm: Arrive at camp for orientation and registration
13.30pm: Lunch
14.00pm: White water rafting experience for 3 hours. Including safety talk and training. Actual water time varies depending on the level of the river. Low water is about 2.45 hours on the water and high water is about 2 hours on the water
17:15pm: Arrive back at camp, shower and depart for Chiang Mai
7pm: Arrive at your hotel in Chiang Mai
- Operates in all weather conditions, please dress appropriately
- Bring a second dry set of clothes for your ride back to your hotel
- Bring a copy or photo of your passport on your phone for registration

The whole thing was amazing. - Everything from transfer, to safety briefing, location, staff, service, value, experience, food was well worth it. Everyone was lovely! The view was amazing! There is also a photographer who captures the best photos.

Awesome & Fun - We had to change the length of the white water rafting due to safety - but that demonstrated the team were fully aware or appropriate risks. We had a member who had previously had a wound and they treated it perfectly after it had got wet.
The waterfall hike was amazing. We would do it all again frequently, if we could.

Rafting in beautiful Northern Thailand! - Absolutely awesome time, the crew did a fanatic job in taking care of us and making sure we were safe but still hitting big rifts. A real professional crew and an all round great experience. Would definitely recommend these guys!

Safe and exhilarating rafting - Excellent white water rafting for our family. The pick up from Chiang Mai was smooth in a nice van. Arrived at the base camp where they have great facilities for safety briefing before embarking on the 10km rafting adventure. Attention to safety was very high. Thorough briefings, 2 kayaks accompanied the raft at all times to help in case of difficulties. People stationed on the banks during the toughest sections with ropes. Impressive! Khun Oh was an excellent raft captain and made our trip really fun. Would highly recommend this trip.

Fantastic staff and white water rafting experience! - We decided last minute that we wanted to do the white water rafting. We go to Phuket tomorrow and had read that it was great here in Chiang Mai. During breakfast we realised that the 8Adventures office was around 6 minutes away from our hotel. We walked and arrived to such friendly welcoming faces. Marin and Phi Phi made us feel extremely welcome and managed to book us onto a last minute trip to fo the white water rafting. The girls were so polite and also got us picked up and dropped off after the experience. Sammy our instructor was also fantastic and also added to our experience with his funny jokes and well humoured personality. If you are considering one of these tours, I could not recommend them enough. Especially if you get to go to the office and meet the girls. We are thankful for the experience 8adventures arranged for us!

Amazing experience for white rafting in the Mae Taeng river - The whole team was super friendly and helpful. The pick-up from the hotel was on time and the van was very comfortable. At the camp, the staff took good care of us and made sure we were always up-to-date with the next steps. The camp is in the middle of the forest and has very good facilities with toilets, showers and lockers. On the way back from the rafting the staff offered us towels for the shower. The lunch was a delicious meal with fresh ingredients and there was free coffee and tea. The rafting experience was great, the instructions were clear to follow and I always felt safe with my captain. Unfortunately, due to a tree that had fallen the previous days, we only did an 8km distance instead of the 10km. The only downside for me was that the time spent rafting went by so fast, I would like to do it for longer. Taking into account that the travel time to/from Chiang Mai is around 1-1.5 hours, I think combining rafting with one of the other activities such as trekking or ATV is a better option to make the most of the activities.

Excellent rafting experience in Chang Mai, Thailand. - We had the 10k rafting trip with some nice rapids in the middle part. Well organized trip, very friendly guides, possibility of taking a shower after the trip and a nice lunch. If you like rafting defintely a good company for an excellent experience.

Exciting and unforgettable Rafting!!! 😍 - With 8Adventures we live one of the best experiences of our trip to Thailand. We did the 10 km whitewater rafting and its super Pro staff was watching our safety in all sections of the river, we were able to enjoy with peace of mind this exciting and fun activity. We recommend it 100%, we want to make special mention of our Deer monitor, which was super fun and made the activity unforgettable, thank you very much team of 8Adventures and thank you very much Deer, we will always remember you for that unique day we spent with you.

Fantastic day out, fun for everyone - We loved our day rafting with these lovely people. Everything was organised well and very professional. Picked up on time from our hotel and greeted by attentive staff. Lunch was served pretty much straight away and was very tasty indeed. Lockers are provided which is a great idea. Safety briefing was spot on and we were fitted for life jackets and helmets. Our captain, Oh, was fun and a top guy. We all got soaked and enjoyed every second. Saw elephants having a bath in the river which was amazing. We were given clean towels for a shower afterwards. Marvellous day. I would recommend it 100%.
