COOKING CLASS IN CHITWAN: COOK AND EAT WITH LOCALS IN LOCAL THARU STYLE USING WOOD FIRE.

A decade ago, locals still collected firewood daily to cook their meals for survival. Wood-fire cooking is still considered to produce tastier food compared to electric or fuel-based cooking. Our activity takes place in the SAURAHA village within Chitwan National Park, the third most popular tourist destination in Nepal, ensuring all facilities meet tourist standards. In Chitwan, we offer a cooking class for interested guests, focusing on local foods like sticky rice and freshly picked green vegetables from the farm.

The main foods of the Tharu people include local rice, green leafy vegetables, potatoes, daal, curry with local flavors, duck or chicken curry, and hand-ground pickles. This is the best way to connect with local traditions, their food, and lifestyle.
