Excellent experience - Carmen is a great host! She taught us about local traditions and shared family stories that tied our evening’s events back to the local culture. This experience was amazing and we can’t wait to try out the recipe she shared with us!

A must do while on St Croix - Carmen and her team were incredible. From the moment we arrived (with Carmen’s assistance navigating there) to the moment we left, we were smiling ear to ear and enjoying the sights, sounds, and flavors of St Croix. We had an amazing time preparing our crabs and of course the best part was eating them. Carmen taught us so much about the culture and about the island. When you come to this experience you are treated like family. We would recommend this experience to every person traveling to the island. Such an amazing way to start our trip. Highly highly highly recommend.

St. Croix at its finest! - “Crabs with Carmen” was a most wonderful and amazing cultural experience with delightful St. Croix locals! One is greeted warmly by Carmen at her home, where she has the Crabs 101 experience set-up in her backyard. Carmen and her staff show you how to select, clean, prepare, cook, and eat land crab properly and correctly - while you learn about some of the history and culture of the island and its people. Delicious sweet corn, cassava, and killer rum punch only add to the great meal. You can go to a restaurant and simply order off the menu and wait for your food, or you can have a top-drawer five-star life experience at Carmen’s. It’s a no brainer - do it! 👍🙂

Crabs with Carmen - a can't miss evening! - If you do anything in St. Croix while visiting this beautiful island, make sure it includes an evening of "Crabs with Carmen"! You experience the wonderful, casual, down-home hospitality of an island native, who has the charisma and personality to be St. Croix's Director of Tourism and Commerce. Learning to select, clean, prepare, and eat crab is a true art form! Carmen and her great assistant Rochelle delightfully lead you along every step of the way, this while enlightening guests about some of St. Croix's culture and traditions. The evening is a refreshing change-of-pace from simply making a reservation at a restaurant somewhere and being served. You will not be disappointed - this is an evening you'll fondly remember while reminiscing about your stay in St. Croix. Do it!

TRY CRABS WITH CARMEN - Carmen told us that when she retired she wanted to create not just a activity for people to do but an experience and she more than exceeded that with her Crabs with Carmen. She makes you feel at home while on vacation and shares her vast knowledge about local food, culture of St Croix and much more. Our favorite experience on our trip. If you are visiting St Croix, Crabs with Carmen has to be on the itinerary!!

Carmen was phenomenal!... - Carmen was phenomenal! Her home was beautiful, with fresh local fruits being grown and crabs being housed. The food that we all cooked together was absolutely delicious. We also learned a lot about the island together. Carmen herself is so welcoming and fun. She recommended other places for us to try during our stay that were also amazing ! Thank you Carmen for the amazing experience that you gave us !

five stars! amazing experience! - Crabs with Carmen was such an amazing experience! Her backyard is so beautiful and spacious! She has an outdoor kitchen, multiple tables to spread out, and a bar as well! The night was so well thought out and produced. She taught us about different local fruits and let us choose our own crab for dinner! It was so fun getting to prepare the food. Carmen and her crew were so warm and friendly, the atmosphere was great! I would definitely do this experience again when I travel back to the island!
